So Jacobs manager already knows it will be a career payday offer but is throwing out the qualifier unless the money is right when he knows the money is more then anyone else can offer Jacobs. When B sides start talking like this to A sides fight typically don't happen or don't happen right away. That's the fear myself and others are having today after reading these statements.
I hear you but how about a bit a patience before saying that he is "pricing himself out" especially for a fight that can happen at the earliest on May 2019 and we still need to see the other players involved next move (GGG, Charlo post Monroe fight, Canelo post Fielding fight, etc).

It just seems sometimes that as boxing fans, we are quick to attach a narrative such as "fighter X is pricing himself out", "fighter X is ducking" before we let the situation develop itself a bit more.

Jacobs also has a strong voice in his career and won't just go with what Haymon or anyone wants. He HIMSELF wants the Canelo fight more than any other fight so it is a safe bet he ends up on DAZN, especially with Hearn as his promoter. Little to no chance he ends up on FOX or SHO imo.

[QUOTE=bigdunny1;19232723]Jacobs just drew only 4,691 fans this weekend. And only 7K fans for his fight with Sulecki. And 6,921 fans the fight before that with Arias. Career payday was 1.75M can't draw fans in his own hometown. You will get a career payday offer of 2-3X more then you have ever made but your manager is already making money demands to Canelo and that you won't fight him if the money isn't right? I don't like the sound of that at all. Even B sides like Liam Smith made more money fighting Canelo then Jacobs makes. Jacobs has lottery ticket in his hands and his manager is saying well I don't want to pay taxes on my winnings so I don't know if I will cash it in. LMAO[/QUOTE

Dont take this as a message to canelo it's really a message to hearn. That if he wants Jacob's to stay with matchroom he has to bring the dough because Jacob's has options..... he can go back to pbc st any time

Also how are purses split when working with dazn if they have such huge money they should be willing to pay b sides like crazy to which may be a sticking point for ggg

I'm hoping I would love to see this fight and it just fits and makes sense for both guys...until his manager opened his mouth. When B side fighters started talking like this to floyd the fights didn't get made or not right away. Hopefully this idiot is just talking out of pocket and Haymon or Hearn the real players know better and just take what Canelo offers and don't make it difficult because Canelo fights on Dec 15 and historically he locks up his May opponent by early to mid Jan. That is not a lot of time to deal with nonsense haggling from the B side. And history is not on Jacobs side because they were difficult to work with in the GGG fight and missed 2 critical deadlines and the GGG fight date had to be moved TWICE to what amounted to a couple hundred thousand. Canelo is not moving his May date for anyone especially ****** demands from Jacobs who didn't even draw 5K fans this weekend. The parade moves on with or without Jacobs and somebody else get's the lottery ticket.

Canelo is on DAZN, Hearn is on the DAZN, Jacobs is not signed with any network, it's unification fight, it will sell. But one comment makes me worried

“If the Canelo money isn’t right, we’ll definitely look to Charlo, and Danny would be more than willing to fight Charlo. If Jermall Charlo wants the fight, Danny definitely wants that. At this point, it’s about making the best specific deal for Danny, because he’s probably got maybe four years left of these prime fights where he’s young enough to win them. We want to fight Canelo, but only if the money is right."

They already talking about money and we won't fight Canelo unless it's right. Jacobs just fought for 1M this weekend and fought GGG for a career high 1.75M. Look at his fan attendance this weekend and every fight since GGG it's lackluster. He will easily get a career high payday offer from Canelo and more then he can get fighting GGG or Charlo but if he starts making ****** demands Canelo will tell him phuk off. Remember the GGG/Jacobs fight dragged on and missed multiple deadlines and the fight date kept getting pushed back because Jacobs haggled with GGG over 500K. Canelo is not pushing his May date back or letting a B side Jacobs tell him shyt about money and if he tries to haggle to much he won't get the date and Canelo will fight someone else who wants a career payday.
He wants to try and get the most money possible because he knows he ain’t beating Canelo.

Either way though Jacobs makes more with nelo than facing anyone else

Is Jacobs pre pricing himself out of GGG and Canelo? Hes a b side to both.

Hope Im misunderstanding but Im glad to see him in a decent position.

That's interesting and maybe you are right. That he is talking to hearn saying you better get us a long term DAZN deal including Canelo or we leaving Matchroom. Because it's just bizzare to take this stance in a Canelo fight

A massive shakeup has been occurring around boxing in regards to network implications with especially influential consequences in the middleweight division. We’

Not a good look for Charlo! GGG don't want none, and DAZN has Jacobs, Andrade, and Canelo! Charlo needs the WBC to step up, but Canelo could fight Jacobs and Andrade because they're unification bouts! I hope Charlo fights whichever one that Canelo doesn't! Charlo has beef with both of them!
