    IBO = DOG sht!

    from their own site.

    The champion may defend against an opponent from the hightest 35 ranked boxers.

    Listen to this BS!!!

    The President of the IBO may attend each sanctioned bout. The Promotor shall provide the president and fight commisioner with FIRST class airline tickets to the site and room and board. And shall provide seats on the ring apron for the President and commissioner.

    Yeah that dont sound shady as ***!
    And I dont even think the IBO does drug testing?

      Sites- like this one- is one of the main reasons. There are constantly articles claiming someone is champ when they are not.

      Why even mention the IBO??? That is only giving it more relevancy. The vast majority do not consider the IBO a real title. Then how many articles on here claim that Pac is a "champion"? Or that Murata was a champion? If Murata woulda beat Brant, then he would be considered a champion for a fight with g. It is simply absurd. A site that claims over five champions in most divisions. That is the problem. Yea, of course these upstart organizations try to act legit and have their own champions. But it is idiot sites like this and others that give them legitimacy. And then occasionally cry, because people believe their articles claiming Joe Blow is a champion.

      Yes it is ******ed how many "champions" there are. Maybe the writer should tell BS to quit labeling everyone a freaking champion then. It is sites like this that allow for such idiocy.

          Yeah it didnt take me long to see how full of SHT the IBO is. There policy says a mandatory has to be ranked 35 or higher yet I just found they let a guy ranked 43 fight for a belt. So they are full of sht there.

              Also welcome to 35+ years ago guy who wrote that article. It wasn't good at 2 belts, but when the IBF came on the scene in 83 it f#cked sh^t up. And when the WBO became a legit title, like some mfers are trying to do with the IBO title now by even mentioning it with these other belts like this writer is doing, it became a complete sh^t show.
              So which sanctioning authority is legitimate? Is the WBC more credible than the WBO or IBO? If so, why exactly?

                The secondary and tertiary titles mean nothing, they don't even denote ranking within the sanctioning body half of the time.
                Having numerous sanctioning bodies that all have "World" titles is one thing - they all have different views on ban lengths, activity levels of champs, re-hydration and even how to rank fighters - but all the "regular", "silver", "interim" "international", "intercontinental" etc titles need to go. For that matter so do the additional regional belts that the sanctioning bodies seem to be moving in on, leave that to the actual regional governing bodies. It's enough that we have multiple "world" champs in each division, the last thing we need are for there to be multiple alphabet European, North American, Asian, Africa, or Pacific champs as well. It's getting to be a bit like school sports days where they hand out 10th place ribbons and such; at some point there will be participation medals for everyone that enters the ring regardless of the result.

                      fighters and promoters need to boycott the WBA, that regular champion nonsense is the worst part of it all.
