When there's 5 or 6 "champions" in a division it's beyond diluted. When someone says "Oh he's a 5 time world champion", "oh he beat the most champions ever", "he beat 15 world champions" you are disrespecting the sport and the past when there were 8, 10 or 12 divisions and 1 champion or 2 maximum per division.

Yes. It's a bunch of crap. The 'regular' and 'diamond' stuff absolutely kills me.
