GGG is a network free agent. He can actually fight anyone he wants and make a one fight deal with them.

GGG's promoter says they wont make a one fight deal for Charlo... gives no valid reason.

Claims Canelo wont fight Jacobs... gives no valid reason.


GGG is going to fight some random cab driver next.

Not if Canelo, Charlo or Jacobs get to him first.

The problem for Golovkin right now is winning and getting the win from the judges at his age.

Everyone with 2 eyes knows he won those fights against Canelo, knows Canelo is on the juice, yet, people and their hate on this site prefer to not be honorable in order to keep their own little agendas going on.

I think he should fight Charlo, Charlo is really a nobody who fights bums and is not proven in any way.

Charlo is the WBC interim champion and mandatory challenger. So why should GGG be under any pressure at all to fight him? Canelo is the WBC champ now, not Golovkin!

We shouldn’t look at the bigger picture when it comes to GGG. They tried to destroy Martinez name when he was in GGG shoes back a few years ago. Now GGG is in the exact same scenario and they are doing the exact same thing that Dibella did for Martinez.

So we all should criticise and destroy GGG name. Because they are the true meaning of hypocrites.

Not just a hypocrite over how they treated Martinez but what about years after that with all the I am not businessman BS from GGG towards Cotto and Canelo? Fast forward and now in the same year he's been stripped of the IBF belt for ducking his mandatory claiming a business decision and now ducking his mandatory with Charlo with his promoter claiming business decision. Lemieux was top 10 in a division that was 4 or 5 fighters deep. That's the weak argument folks make to make a fight sound good after the fact. It's not the fact that he fought Lemieux...its the fact that 3 years later Lemieux, who we know to not be a top level guy, is one of GGG best wins. In his three elite level fights, he is 1-1-1. (And no, we won't go into the arguably debate because you could argue he should be 1-2 just as easily as 2-1.) He refused to rematch Jacobs and lost in the Alvarez rematch. Now is refusing to fight Charlo as if fighting Alvarez for big money is his birth rite.

That's not a good look.

Why would he rematch Jacobs? He won that fight. He didn't refuse to rematch him because he wasn't ordered to rematch him by any sanctioning body. As far as him fighting Charlo he doesn't have to. He isn't ordered to fight him by anyone so that's his choice. I have no problem with him fighting anyone he wants at age 36 and he is no longer a title holder. If he can make some money in the twilight of his career it's not a bad look at all. For crying out loud Mayweater fought Berto and McGregor in his last two fights. As far as Charlo goes he's not screaming that Golovkin isn't fighting him is he? No he's taking on a guy that is shop worn and he will KO by mid fight or sooner. I personally think Charlo got screwed by losing his place in line to fight Canelo because the WBC is up to no good.

I am not dis*****g that fact because it is. For example, I for one just from a boxing fan perspective, would love nothing more than to see that fight happen. It would be one of the best fights that could be made at the 160lbs division.

However, all I am saying is one would have to put themselves in Team Golovkin shoes. Gennady turns 37 next April. Nobody knows how many good fights he has left.

So what's in it for him? There is no money in a Jermall Charlo fight as compared to fighting a Saul Canelo Alvarez. Therefore, Charlo has nothing he wants. He has no belts, fanbase or following.

In addition, Gennady would lose a lot of money fighting Jermall Charlo because he doesn't bring any new fans or meat to the seats. Moreover, lastly he isn't a box office or a Pay Per View draw.

Jermall Charlo as much as I like him is simply an unknown among casual fans. Therefore, if that fight is ever made it won't sale.

I am speaking solely from his management standpoint and not a fan. As a fan it's a great fight which I would love to see happen. However if you are Tom Loeffler; He is looking at the big picture.

So whats next for GGG? who should he fight next? Canelo already has a fight coming so he cant go that route.

Well there is Demetrius Andrade. He holds the WBO middleweight title; A title in which GGG has never held before. A victory over him would put him back into being a major player at the 160 lbs scene.

TBE fought and beat the most world champs in history who cares if he fought a mcgregor. GGG on the other hand has fought like 4 or 5 world champs and spent his whole career dominating a weak middleweight division waiting for Canelo to move up and fight him.

Boxing media and his fanbase were complaining about GGG being ducked and how he only wants to fight the best. Now the middleweight division is finally stacked so he needs to fight the other top middleweights if he really cares about his "legacy".
