Now you are talking rubbish. Anthony Joshua never wanted the fight to begin with. However on the other hand Deontay Wilder wanted the fight. That's why he'd agreed to all of AJ's terms and conditions. There's no amount of money in the world that would have gotten Anthony Joshua in the same ring with the most feared and dangerous man in boxing which is Deontay Wilder; Carl Froch even said that.

Cause so far you’ve FAILED to do so.
As I said name one fighter that’s taken two tougher voluntary defences in the last few years.

Canelo was a voluntary for Golovkin wasn't he? You call yourself a boxing fan.

Oops! Next time do your research you little goof🙈🙈

On top of that Canelo was a HUGE PAYDAY for GGG. There was a huge incentive for GGG to take those fights, are you actually suggesting that fight was about legacy and not money?😂😂

i seem to remember awhile back this was a big thing

what seems like many moons ago now pac was out there telling floyd "lets fight for free...i fight for legacy and pride and honor"...even though like no guy has really ever fought for free....fans cheered "you go pac you tell him...cmon floyd take that fight...fight for charity"!!!!

then a few years later there was a young future superstar making his way through the weight classes...still growing...he was still a pup relatively...he wasnt too keen on jumping right up and facing a p4p top 5 rated career MW right away

this young future star found some lucrative fights in the meantime and continued to build his profile.....for the sake of story telling lets give this a guy a name...and call him "canelo".....while canelo made the career MW wait...he was called a vagina(this is the name for a part of the female sexual anatomy...which i dont think many golovkin fans have ever seen aside from sliding out of their own mother)..he was called a chicken....many unflattering names....people questioned whether or not he had testicles and demanded "hey you chicken..you yellow chicken!!! why dont u fight for legacy and be a man .....stop letting business make your decisions"

strangely enough during this time that same man i just mentioned, golovkin, began stalking this canelo guy...it was weird......this golovkin guy was bringing up welterweights two classes, fighting lyft drivers and even fighting a guy on home confinement(ankle ***erly and all) for hitting a woman!!!!

a career defining fight with andre ward seemed plausible as ward contacted golovkins team about a fight in the near future while offering golovkin a chance to get acclimated to a higher weight class......despite golovkin not having a career defining fight, let alone win, golovkin fans excused him swerving this "american coward" by sighting a more lucrative fight with canelo in the future and calling it "smart business".......it seems right about this time fighting for "legacy and pride" died and went right out the window

so i ask...are there any guys left that fight for that stuff? or is that just completely dead?

and before some of you guys go mentioning anthony joshua turning down 50 mil because he wanted to fight for his fans you cant have that...cause AJ also then went and challenged his fans to train and fight wilder themselves because its not that easy he said....so you while i know you want to point to AJ's generosity and care for his beloved fans....he kinda did a 180 literally within like a week or two...so you cant use that one

anyways....anyone got any fighters? or are we all in on making money and smart business decisions now?
That's a bit of a ramble, but yeah, ultimately 'business' will always be a major consideration and anyone who claimed (and possibly believed) otherwise is delusional or naive. Not to say there isn't room for some legacy and 'honour' in there too, but it's a balance, see. Boxers are often prideful guys and a lot of them probably would get their faces smashed in and their brains pulped for a belt that's no good for holding up your pants, but they also need to feed their families (or pay for hookers or whatever they want) so they, or - if they're smart - their representatives, usually seek out the best financial options available. Grown up decisions, y'know?

These guys calling fighters names really get under your skin, huh? Can't you see you're doing exactly the same kinda thing? It's a vicious circle man, and it leaves none of you looking good from where I'm standing.
