The fact that he is quoted saying “we’re constantly making the effort” just screams PR to me.

Good work Eddie, turning the PR wheel over and over...

It is OBVIOUS that two things could happen.
          1. Wilder wins and his stock goes up as the WBC/Lineal champ and therefore he has a better bargaining position for a bigger percentage against Joshua, if/whenever that happens. Eddie wants to tie them down to a % now, that's just good business.
          2. Wilder loses. His stock drops through the floor and then he will fire Finkel for not making a deal with Matchroom for an immediate work title fight following a loss. Joshua then fights Fury for the undisputed HW crown. Wilder fights one of the other HW's floating around, like Miller, Whyte, Chisora so that he remains relevant.

          What is LIKELY to happen?
          1. Wilder beats Fury, doesn't make a deal to fight AJ so exercise the 'suspected' rematch clause with Fury or he fights Dominic Breazeale to end that beef.
          2. Fury then talks his way into title fight with Joshua at the end of 2019 after AJ fights Whyte on April 13th. AJ retires Fury.
          3. Wilder v AJ in March/April 2020. AJ wins but everyone claims AJ's win wasn't against a 'prime' Wilder

Another day, another load of hearn bs. Also he's very disrespectful to finkel. A man who's been in boxing since hearn was crapping in his pants and shoving it in his mouth with the silver spoon from daddy

Finkel is a man who tried to screw Shannon Briggs out of money by not paying him whilst Briggs was in hospital for weeks after risking his life for us fans in the Vitali Klitschko fight.

Briggs had to take him to court.

Why should anyone respect or believe a lying scumbag like Finkel?

Your're grasping at straws now editiing your post isntead of replying. Frank Warren came out with this after AJ turned down the offer saying he'd been working with Finkel all along (strange how the Fury fight happened to come out of no where). He also said a contract had been sent which I think most would agree didn't happen.

Also Finkel or Wilder have never mentioned it which is very strange if there was a rematch added for such a large amount considering they are the ones making the fight.

You’re okay with AJ fighting Fury who just came off a loss before fighting wilder? Why?

I guess its a double edged sword. As a HW fan, I would love to see it but its not what Joshua said he wants, but I bet he would take it if Wilder isn't available!

The timelines for Wilder and AJ just seem so mis-matched that it would be destined for 2020 as both fighters will have to consider 2 fights a year. AJ hasn't had a 3 fight year since 2016, Wilder hasn't since 2015. So we are facing:-

                    Wilder v Fury I - December 1st 2018
                    Wilder v Fury II - April/May 2019?
                    Joshua v Whyte II - April 13th 2019
                    Wilder v Breazeale (??) - September/October 2019???
                    Joshua v ??? - November or December 2019???

AJ may have IBF mandatory? Pulev or Hughie Fury???
or pay off mandatory to face Tyson Fury???

Who else does AJ have to fight (that can really offer a challenge) other than Tyson Fury? I can't see mandatories really having a chance.

If both parties continue with this BS publicity war on who is doing what or who is prepared to do what, then negotiations won't materialise. Wilder will end up settling for smashing up Breazeale and Fury/Warren will worm their way into a title fight with Joshua, because that fight would sell quite well in the UK.

There is a part of me that hopes the timeline above happens because I would really like to see Wilder v Breazeale. Wilder/Fury/AJ don't have that kind of beef between them so there will be fireworks if Breazeale gets his shot.

My only wish is that Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder could get on the phone and call each other and say to one another it's done. Yo, let's do this for the fans. I have no doubt that fight would get done in a little less than an hour.

The trouble is all of these ancillaries negotiating this fight through media by constantly running to press. All I need to hear from Eddie Hearn is for him to say the fight is done and we have a deal.

That's all the boxing public need to know from him. We don't need all this spin and face saving tactics by him attempting manipulating the fans and public through the media.
You’re quite right, I’m sure. It’s funny that Hearn had such a bee in his bonnet about Finkel going to the media saying “meetings get made in boardrooms, not online” but now he’s being far more vocal online than Wilder’s side. No doubt it’s because the public perception is that it is Hearn/AJ who is the problem and his ego can’t handle it so he’s basically being a hypocrite.
