just write down a list of your favorite 10,25,50,100 fights on hbo by memory and tell me with a straight face that this doens't make you sad.

just start listing them and tell me that this is not a shame.

I'm not "celebrating" just noting it's irrelevance. There are three major players in US boxing now. HBO has been an afterthought for several years

I never 'hoped' it failed I'm just telling people it failed to do what it was intended for.

Other than not having to see or hear Lampley and Kellerman, there is nothing to really celebrate if you're a real boxing fan.

I grew up on HBO boxing, but I am laughing at the posters on here who cheered for other networks to fail but now get mad when others do the same....

It was an incredible success for what it was intended for.

Without PBC, Haymon's stable wouldn't have had the leverage to convince a free TV network to give them a huge TV budget for only half of their TV package while convincing Showtime to also give them a huge budget for the other half. This is unprecedented. The biggest TV budget in the history of boxing. How is that a failure?
