Most boxing fans aren't really boxing fans in case you hadn't realized.

I've honestly not enjoyed HBO for years. Kellerman and Lampley ruined it for me and obviously boxing isn't the bis business it used to be so I can live without them but I don't feel like celebrating. It's not that personal to me.

and HBO has? They can't even compete with showtime anymore when it comes to consistently giving us great fights. Just look at both of their schedules this year.

Now with the emergence of ESPN and FOX, HBO threw in the towel.

hbo just made the biggest ppv of the year with a fighter they heavily invested in (GGG) so they obviously must have a good platform to reach out for viewers, but people would rather they werent involved in the sport. very strange

They only sold that much because of canelo who became a star on SHOWTIME first. HBO is dead without Canelo

GGG couldn't even sell out the stub hub center and he's 36 years old.GGG would be just as successful on Showtime or ESPN

              That's what I'm asking......

I wonder if it's just a coincidence that most of these people celebrating are FMJ fans

There's more money in boxing than ever. It's just not coming from HBO, whose pocketbooks all but dried up when the merger began.

More boxing will move to basic cable or broadcast (free) TV. The fans win here.

Exactly. If K2 and/or Main Events end up throwing their hat in with Uncle Bob on ESPN, everybody wins. More eyes on boxing, lower cost of entry to fans.

this has been going on since mike Tyson days they always downed their own product, made no sense imo.
