What we're celebrating is one less split in the road that prevents big fights from happening.

Eventually there will be one dominant league, like UFC, and we'll get all the fights we want.

Whether it's PBC, Top Rank, or a merger, one dominant league is the best thing that could ever happen for US boxing fans.

HBO holding a few fighters hostage with no relevant opponents isn't in the best interest of boxing fans.

Showtime has put on the best fights this year by far, with HBO gone making certain fights has just gotten a lot easier!

yeah cause showtime/pbc have done such a fantastic job of building a profile for their fighters and keeping them active.

            Because they have common sense.

HBO has been in decline since Seth Abraham left, and its reached a point where having a network that has minimal commitment to boxing having fighters tied to exclusive contracts is bad for the sport.

Now these fighters will leave, go to networks that are putting a lot of money into boxing, and the sport will continue to thrive.

            This is basic economics.

And its funny that the very posters who said haymon would fail and updated the boards with every mishap that happened with PBC are now asking this question. moving along.... any fights this weekend?
but the two foreigners they backed just made the biggest fight of the year by far lol. im not seeing all these american ppv superstars that have emerged elsewhere which slipped through the hbo net. again hbo pulled out on their own accord im assuming because the sport isnt being watched by many people in the states anymore and people seem happy for this. lots of posters are all delighted hbo has moved on and wanting DAZN to fail aswell, its ridiculous.

Not having to listen to Kellerman & his cringeworthy fanboy gibberish is a cause for a big celebration tbf

HBO was the stiff Euro network. Showtime is the Slick bruvva network.

they just showed the biggest fight of the year lol, from the figures ive been seeing fighters on showtime and espn have hardly been getting amazing exposure. 'continue to thrive' is a real stretch when you consider the garcia/porter viewing figures from a few weeks back.
