I have one last parting shot for HBO and the rest of their cast and production team; Good riddance! See ya and I don't wanna be ya! You will not be missed!

It's a sad day. I've been watching HBO boxing since I existed on this earth. Less boxing on my TV isn't good. Not at all.Comment

The writing was on the wall for a long time. Some are around here celebrating but that makes no sense to me. Who knows what Showtime will do in the next few years. Remember they showed boxing to compete with HBO. Now their competitor no longer shows it, they themselves might look for an exit strategy. You will never know how the top brass at a network might want to redistribute their resources.
If Showtime does the same thing down the road we are all screwed.Comment

I will always remember Marquez decapitating Pacquiao, and Roy Jones Jr. screaming "He's not getting up, he's not getting up Jim!" Classic!Comment

I watched some great fights over the years on HBO. Pretty much grew up watching some of the legends on their network. Lampley at one time was my favorite commentator and I was excited to see Kellerman join the team. But something went terribly wrong. Both of them stopped being boxing commentators and became “company men” for the network. There were times where I didn’t think they were watching the same fight as me. Plus over the years, they lost giants of the sport like Tyson, Holyfield, Chavez jr, and Mayweather to Showtime. And once Haymon took his roster to Showtime, it started the collapse of HBO boxing. Top Rank leaving pretty much put the nail in the coffin. But...thanks HBO for all the legendary fights over the years. It’s true that all good things come to an end.Comment
