Comments Thread For: Tony Bellew: Usyk is a Monster But I Can Knock Him Out!

Tony Bellew says he is fighting a "monster" in Oleksandr Usyk but feels he can knock out the undisputed cruiserweight world champion. The 35-year-old former WBC champion takes on the Ukrainian in a challenge for the Ring Magazine, WBO, WBA Super, IBF and WBC world titles at Manchester Arena.

If I ever see Bellew knock Usyk out, I swear that I'll quit talking about boxing.

Bellew doing his job again, talking the fight up a storm. Usyk's gone from being a best-in-class cruiser to a monster with a crazy Ukrainian look.

I suspect Bellew dropping to 200 will be the dominant factor in the fight, he'll start strong and fade.

I hope Bellew isn't basing his high estimation of his own power on the two Haye 'fights'. Maybe his best stoppage win was against Makubu for the WBC belt but was he even that good? Big Tone is a heck of a salesman. Simple as that.

It's a shame that no matter who wins this fight, the undisputed title will be broken up.

Usyk will vacate and move up to heavyweight, Bellew will vacate and retire.

Either way we go from having an undisputed WBA (Super)/WBC/WBO/IBF/Ring/lineal champion to likely four or five different champions, not even counting Regular, Interim, or IBO belts.

Bellow can hold an audience, I will give him that. Very entertaining. He is going to be a great color commentator after Usyk retires him.

If someof the promoters / WBSS throw some money around can't they have the belts up for grabs in the next cruiserweight tourney?

If Bellew can close his career out with knockouts over Haye and Usyk that would be one hell of a way to go out
