I would say that Calzaghe and Kassim Ouma are as big a draw as Margarito at this point in his career. Who other than hard core boxing fans know who Margarito is? Calz was just on TV dominating Jeff Lacy. If money is his consideration then fighting Calz in England for HUGE money might be the way to go. I'm sure that fight would sell out in any English Arena and have good PPV numbers in England and decent PPV numbers here in America.

Yeah, I was glad to read about that. Think it would be a good fight. I would definitely try to hype this fight up enough to interest some friends enough for them to come over and split the PPV cost with me.

I think you guys are missing the point of pound-for-pound.

Think of it this way, if PBF were the same size/weight as any other fighter right now, would they beat him? I cannot think of one fighter who has the skills to beat Mayweather if they were evenly matched. Hence, PBF is the #1 pound-for-pound fighter right now.

PBF looks good but doesn't challenge himself. For sure he has skills, but is content to wallow in mediocrity, HBO $$$'s, and middling PPV's where the opponent brings at least half the fans and usually more.

Hechor Camacho was skilled and had a better record before 30. Unbeaten with wins over Rosario, Mancini, Pazienza. Super featherwight, featherweight, lightweight and light welterweight champion. Later had a few losses but also added welterweight, light middleweight and middleweight titles.

No, I'm not really comparing PBF to Camacho, just pointing out that we don't know how good PBF is because he hasn't fought the best in any division for many years, and will likely end up with another dud in November 2006.

In life, you get more of the behavior you reward. Keep on ranking PBF at P4P #1 if you like his recent level of opponents. He'll be able to find plenty more like it.
