Floyd has been doing this a lot longer than Hatton has and Hatton doesn't run his mouth the way Floyd does. At leats Hatton attempted to unify the division and when he was at 140 by fighting Massau, and it's not like Collazo was a bum. He would have given a lot of welterweights problem. He is a slick southpaw that is quick and has good boxing skills. Floyd has been fighting lesser competition for far too long. Don't even throw at me that he fought and old broke down Gatti or an overrated Zab that lost to Baldomir. Sure Zab always has a punchers chance, but menatlly he is garbage. What about Floyd not fighting Margarito. He always says that he will fight anyone if the money is right. I could understand him turning him down the first time wanting to wait on Oscar, but that fight isn't gonna happen for now. Outside of Oscar 8 million is the most he is gonna make and he still doesn't want this fight. I don't want to hear this **** about Marg not being an A level fighter and he hasn't beaten any quality opponents(Zab hasn't beaten quality opposition and he still got the fight right after he lost to Baldomir)He says that he would beat Marg easily, well if it is so easy and the money is right, why not fight him and prove evryone wrong. Also don't throw the Corrales Castilo fights at me. How long ago was that? Floyd wants to be called p4p #1 yet he still hasn;t stepped up. I have a hard time giving him p4p over someone like Winky based on quality of opposition. I;m not saying that Floyd isn't the most skilled fighter in boxing, but until he doe it against the best opposition that doesn't make him p4p. I'll give him his props when he steps up and starts fighting the best in his division consistantly. He doesn't even have to win every fight. I'll respect for the fact that he is willing to make these fights happen. He has coasted along for far too long now. It is time for him to man the **** up. -

Well, exactly!Originally posted by marloSo what? If Hatton is so much better at JWW why wouldn't he just train like does to make 140 for a fight with Mayweather at 147. Mayweather is the same size at WW as he is at Jww from what we've seen so far and there's no weigh in floor in boxing divisions. Hatton would still meet the requirements for a sanctioned Welterweight bout.
But Hatton's camp won't do that for some reason. Kerry Kayes won't do that, I'VE been asking Kerry to do that but he won't. I don't know why. I told him what Nigel Benn said in 1991 - that he'd weigh 168 if he was to challenge Jeff Harding for the world light-heavyweight title because he saw no need in putting on unnecessary weight, and all Kerry said was something like "Well, Nigel Benn in 1991 maybe didn't have the knowledge of supplements, nutrition and biomechanics that we have available to us today.." and I just went '**** it, he doesn't understand'..Comment

LOL.....***** ASS HATTON...........Originally posted by Black JesusHATTON TO FACE URKAL ON DECEMBER 9?
By G. Leon
Moments ago Ricky Hatton's American promoter Artie Pelullo informed **********.com that the WBA welterweight champion will likely return to HBO on December 9 to face mandatory challenger Oktay Urkal at an undisclosed location in the United States. Pelullo also informed ********** that Team Mayweather recently "reached out" to him to discuss a possible Mayweather-Hatton bout, but according to Pelullo, "I have said to Al Haymon that we have a mandatory due with Oktay Urkal and that is what we intend to go forward with." More to follow, until thenComment

when has ricky demanded $13m for mayweather?Originally posted by PRboxingfanDude, Hatton is demanding $13M to fight PBF, does that seem like a fighter who wants to fight PBF or one that's purposely pricing himself out of a match? Seems like he doesn't want to fight Floyd, if you ask me.
its people like you making up bull**** that gives hatton a bad name around hereComment

Stop throwing smoke screens and get to the matter at hand. Hatton doesn't want to fight PBF (atleast not right now). The thing is even at 140lbs Hatton's Camp wanted tune-ups before being ready for PBF.
How can you call yourself The Man @ 140lbs and need tune-ups to fight anyone?Comment

Hatton's camp recently stated they would like two tune-up fights in America before facing Mayweather, so any match is likely to take place in the winter.Comment

Floyd could STILL make weight for lightweight if he wanted. He walked in to the Zab Judah fight at 146.Originally posted by JuicyJuiceHatton would be a fool to take the Mayweather fight now, he needs time to grow into the welterweight division.
.
Hatton is bigger, "stronger" and has ONE less fight at welterweight than Floyd.
What is the problem??
Just another scared whiteboy. THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME (FOUR!!) that hatton has turned down a Maywether fight. FOUR.Comment
