Isn't everyone your competitor on TV? I'd argue thats the case. Hell going to the movies or a live sporting event is a competitor to any TV channel. So "direct competitors" means little nowadays.

And aren't Fox & Showtime going to be "direct competitors" for that niche boxing audience? Are they gonna rock, paper, scissors for TV dates so they don't overlap each other?

And why do I answer your questions, but you keep avoiding mine?
PBC will have a show on the same night but not on the same time. They will not take viewers away from each other.

SHO and FOX will be working with PBC side by side.
SHO and FOX will not have a card on at the same time taking viewers away from each other when they're on the same team.

        Thurman vs Spence on Fox
        Charlo vs Hurd on Sho
Both on the same date and same time. You think that would actually happen

Theres only so many dates that make sense. If Fox & Showtime don't overlap sooner or later I'll be shocked.

Showtime is expanding. If HBO continues to persist on freezing Al Haymon fighters out, then perhaps they should consider making a power play for both Golden Boy and K2 promotions by putting HBO boxing out of business for good. Since HBO is cutting back on their budget, CBS/Showtime should increase their overall sports programming budget, while monopolizing the entire premium cable boxing industry in the process.

Where did I say that wasn't the case. I'm merely speculating on if it is a TV deal. I said in my initial post whats what & I think I've used allegedly more than once in my posts as well to not confuse anyone.

Randomly if its not a TV deal what is it? Deal with T-Mobile or MGM? Idk if I'd call that sorta thing a big deal to fans. The Barclays deal fell on deaf ears & wasn't that hyped in the first place I felt like.

So your stance is HBO is dying on the GBP hill right now? Cuz if they don't/can't make a deal with GBP they have nothing now it appears.
Barclays Center is the official PBC home on the East Coast; my guess has been that the deal is that Staples Center will be the official PBC home on the West Coast (exclusively) with MGM Resorts formally having a deal too (T-Mobile Arena, MGM Resorts, Mandalay Bay as options for big events from Showtime/CBS or FOX/FS1).

HBO is finally throwing in the towel on trying to be the marquee fight platform.

My guess is that Oscar won't have TV after the ESPN time-buy is up, and Oscar will package whatever he's been able to develop with the time-buy into something for HBO, with Alvarez carrying HBOPPV (against Jacobs, Golovkin 3, Lemieux, Munguia, etc).

If HBO and Oscar can't come to a deal (I don't see Oscar getting a deal anywhere else), HBO Boxing will basically be done

... FOX and Showtime stack their events, and have done so for a while now.

The FOX event runs from 5pm-8pm, with the Showtime event running 8pm-10pm. Not that difficult.

Showtime doesn't sell advertisement spots on their channel; FOX sells advertisement spots on their channel.

The aims are different, therefore the two channels can co-exist.

The FOX shows will run 5pm-8pm, right in primetime for terrestrial TV; Showtime/CBS runs their events after that. Not that difficult.
