HBO is finally throwing in the towel on trying to be the marquee fight platform.

My guess is that Oscar won't have TV after the ESPN time-buy is up, and Oscar will package whatever he's been able to develop with the time-buy into something for HBO, with Alvarez carrying HBOPPV (against Jacobs, Golovkin 3, Lemieux, Munguia, etc).

If HBO and Oscar can't come to a deal (I don't see Oscar getting a deal anywhere else), HBO Boxing will basically be done
I doubt Staples Center is a big announcement. If so it'll get bout as much attention as the Barclays announcement which is none.

If it's not another network, maybe they've signed some new fighters or are welcoming some guys back (Jacobs.)

Or maybe it's just the Fall fight schedule. There are no official fights announced after the Sep 30 Ortiz-Molina FS1 Card. And a lot of fighters have been saying they have upcoming fights. Of course the Wilder-Fury PPV. Spence and Garcia have fights in December if not vs each other. Thurman is returning. The Charlo's say they're fighting in Nov-Dec. Tank Davis said he's fighting before the year is up (vs Abner Mares possibly.) David Benavidez-Anthony Dirrell is taking place at some time. Stevenson-Gvozdyk is supposedly set for Dec 1st. Julian Williams-Takashi Inuoe IBF Eliminator. Rau'She Warren is fighting in October for a belt. Leo Santa Cruz, Erislandy Lara, Adrien Broner, Robert Easter should all be back. Badou Jack (while technically not PBC all his fights have been broadcast on PBC) said he has a big fight lined up in December. There is the first of the new deal PBC on FOX card taking place in December possibly at the Barclays also.

So if the Wilder-Fury press tour is supposedly kicking of next Monday the 24th, than I'd take a guess that a PBC Fall Schedule isn't too far behind. And that is possibly the announcement.

Announcing the rest of the 2018 schedule would be a good deal.

Welp, HBO is out of the picture. So it's either another network, a superstar fighter coming over (Pac, Canelo, GGG) or something else out the blue like a onDemand Network or Video Game.

If it's another TV deal, I think it is with AXS.
