  • Floyd wanted to fight ODH for almost a decade, it was Oscar who waited until he was 34 to agree to fight him.

A 28 year old Oscar at 147 vs a prime Mayweather would have been a 10-2 blowout win for Floyd.

    • Prime is a nonsense thrown around by people to make excuses. Canelo lost to floyd at 23 with 40 plus fights but he wasn’t prime Oscar lost to Floyd with 40 plus fights at 34 when is prime? It changes to suit the agenda of whoever is talking about it. When was
Tyson’s prime? If the answer is when a guy looks at his best then a fighter who loses will never be prime.

Yes he was chasing him, but being ignored, a high risk low reward situation for Oscar. Mayweathers confidence was brimming due to his belief in the skilz his dad taught him since a little kid, and also brimming from the unrelenting encouragement his pops ALWAYS gave him in private AND publicly (the falling out they had was short term silliness that didnt have any impact on Floyds already confident skills - maybe he suffered from getting hit a little bit more when uncle Rog stepped in)...

Oscar on the other hand NEVER got his fathers APPROVAL during his Olympic run nor even most of his professional career. Oscar longed for that support from ONLY him, and only got it before the Trinidad fight (because Oscar brought up the subject one time too many). You can't 2nd guess yourself against a young Floyd - too elusive and too quick with the counter punching. "Daddy" had to be seen differently then and now...

Oscars footwork was never all that either (if he did have a weakness), and his head positioning use to look like he was hanging his head it in front of his body to invite free shots (somewhat doofy like), plus he went thru too many trainers firing them all - but couldnt do the firings himself. Jealousy is overwhelming this dude, because of his constant 2nd guessing. and for his times coming up short - shorts he couldve avoided...

Oscar had beautiful fast combinations good power, patience b4 striking and challenged himself against the best(!) - that didnt mean he always thought he'd win nor does it mean he had what it took to KO one of the VERY BEST boxers boxing ever produced in the WORLD!.....

Oscar CAN'T control his unrelenting hate & jealousy, and it shows how he would fight Mayweather TODAY if he could! Just like the last time! Mayweather KNOWS (in his mind) what he already did to Oscar and what he'd do again against a smaller equal sized version..... a more convincing points victory...

He knocked down mayorga in the first round and nearly got the job done in the 2nd round. You do remember he was coming off a 21 month layoff so surely he can be excused. It’s not like he was made to lose 12 lbs and fought like a zombie.

Very true....he was calling out Shane too.....Shanes two excuses (on youtube) was the "vacation" excuse and the "loose tooth" excuse....these guys are sore losers to the max! Mayweather was NEVER a pushover - at no time! He can/could be a jerk at times. But in that ring though?? No pushover whatsoever!!

If you know your boxing you would know Mayorga was tailor made. The last thing to go in a boxer is your power. It is your timing and reflexes that fade first. With Mayorga he was always open to be caught and Oscar had the power and the chin to make it easy work at that stage in his career.

If you knew your boxing you would also know he struggled with Forbes and you would also know the weight they fought at.

I know the weight was not 145. It was in fact 150. Though that is neither here nor there. I’m not a fan of Oscar but I’m fair enough to say he got a pummelling from PAC because of the catchweight of 145 and he was past his sell by date. Would he have given PAC more of a fight fighting at his ordinary weight? ... absolutely . Would he have beaten PAC? ...who cares

                    • Has Oscar been doing coke lately? He's not making any sense. His fishnets must be too tight, they have to be cutting off blood circulation to his brain. DLH in his prime would be easy work for Floyd. Floyd moved up and toyed with Oscar. He made it look easy. Even Kellerman had to admit Floyd dominated Oscar and the split decision was BS.

When the fight happened the pundits were talking about "Oscar forgot to stop throwing his jab". They really think Oscar just forgot how to fight. Truth is, it only took TBE a few rounds to figure out and neutralize Oscars offense. The Golden Shower Boy just ain't on the same level as Floyd. Oscar needs to come to terms with the fact that he is inferior
