I think if he can apply intelligent pressure, then he can cause Joshua issues. Joshua isn’t great on the back foot, tends to reverse in straight lines with his left pawing out. Could see Povetkin whipping up underneath that poor defence.

But as you say, it may be that the stamina isn’t there, in which case Joshua should get a comfortable UD.

Think the Dubois sparring will do a world of good.

It's ludicrous to think he wasn't up for Price knowing what was at stake. Further, being motivated isn't going to rewind the clock. Povetkin will get hit and he will get hurt and he will get stopped.

Plus Price, whilst rubbish, is a huge puncher. To take a shot like Povetkin did, stay on his feet (with some help) and come back with a big KO isn’t a terrible performance. Shows a solid chin at least!

AJ should win this one by KO, but he won't engage. As long as he doesn't get cracked, he'll win. It'll be ugly like the Joseph Parker fight.

If he fights like he did against Wlad, he'll be in big trouble. Povetkin is not afraid to stand in the pocket and slug it out. And I don't think Povetkin is gonna lay down for him.

There's no way Joshua compromises a future payday. He's going to stay on the outside and box his way to an ugly decision.

I believe he has (1) more good fight in him. And he handled his business against Price to secure the fight with Joshua, regardless of how he looked, dropping him twice before stopping him in 5. And the fight against Wladimir was back in 2013, 5 years ago. Since that fight he has won (8) straight. He has (1) more solid fight left. He will be up for it.

Why is this such a surprise? Meldonium is a helluva drug.

                I'm stealing that line.

Povetkin is finished. Joshua's going to add the icing.

Again, he handled his business against Price. Did I miss something, he won, and stopped in 5. That’s fight is history. And your entitled to your opinion. By the way Povetkin has never been stopped before. The Wladimir fight went the distance. He was dropped twice but got up and lasted 12 rounds. And that Wladimir was much younger, 37 years old, than the one that was inactive for over a year and dropped and hurt Joshua at 41 years old.

I sure hope so. It would be absolutely amazing to see him derail the hype train. He's not going to win a decision though. Even if he completely shuts AJ out.

I know he beat Price. And looked like a faded fighter in the process.

Povetkin is finished. Joshua should get him out of there in six.
