Its like catching a burglar in ur house and whopping his ass for even trying to do u wrong. Even if u don't have anything worth stealing its the principal of the matter. What do u know about honor? Ur on here everyday defending a cheater. I guess LOVE does that to a man who loves boxers not boxing.

If golovkin had that much integrity, and canelos test failures bothered him that much, he'd have refused the rematch, fought his mandatory and unified with BJS.

You speak of obtuse arguments, your point about the catchweight was superfluous, and stating that most people don’t know about boxing while not being able to read between the lines is ironic.

It was with every intention that they planned to wait out GGG to show signs or slipping. Even cotto and BJS were honest enough to say they wanted no parts of Golovkin at that point in time.
Maybe you should ask Alvarez if champions defend their belts at catch weights. I seem to recall him doing it against Mayweather. Get your boxing history in line before you come with another obtuse argument. A junior middleweight waited out a middleweight. Think about how that sounds. A JMW waited till a MW got older to move up and fight him. Hmmm why was he obligated to move up and fight the MW in the first place? Oh he was the champ after he beat a guy who got the belt at a catch weight. Hmmm. Right, please hurry up and move up so GGG can be legitimized. We don't want him to move up to do it for we fear he may lose.

                  1) Golovkin specifically promised to fight Canelo at 154

                  2) Golovkin KNEW that Canelo was a superstar who had never fought above 155

1 + 2 = 3) it was CLEARLY obvious, that by failing to be a man of his word, Golovkin would have to wait until Canelo moved up to 160 for that fight..... which happened in Canelo's first real fight at middleweight

these fanboys are BUMS for seeing it differently

how fcuken entitled can you get lol

To back someone who tested positive for peds and conducts himself the way he does is beyond me.
                    Good post. Concise and accurate.

The difference between canelo demanding his catchweight at 155 and cotto fighting Martinez at 159 is that cotto started out at 140 at 21 whereas canelo at 21 snagged his 154 wbc belt against Hatton... Cotto who was naturally much smaller went up in weight. Canelo wanted the 155 catchweight with the pretense that he was still too small to fight at 160, when he frequently rehydrated to middleweight at the very least. Cotto was 155 when he fought Martinez meaning he couldn’t even make 159 if he wanted to. Since Canelo held the lineal belt, it’s reasonable he would defend at 160 since he could easily make weight. Especially considering he fought Chávez at 164.5 before fighting at 160....

Apologize for my mistake, you’re right about canelo vs Mayweather. Guess Mayweather is just the exception, Golovkin was willing to move down to 154 for the bout, too lucrative to turn down.
