You dont think a 2 year drugs ban, retiring and going on a booze and coke binge, ends a lineage?

So if Lennox Lewis unretired and started to fight again would that make him the "Lineal Champion"? He never lost his titles in the ring either.

        guys.....

' The Ring ' do not appoint lineage lol

you can only win lineage in the ring..... and it is not a title, so it cannot be stripped

The Ring USE lineage in their rankings..... which is flawed logic, because triangle theories do not work in boxing

ranking Canelo the #1 middleweight for beating lil ol faded 153lb Cotto..... when Canelo had never faced a genuine middleweight opponent and never weighed more than 155.,.... was WAKK !!

and yes, Canelo is still the lineal " champ " at 160

like I said, lineage is horribly over-rated..... Canelo should not have been ranked, especially when he indicated his intention to remain at 154..... or 155/whatever

you could make an argument that retirement ended it

but nobody thought that Fury had retired

If Lewis came back He would get to fight for the WBC strap right away if he chooses to come back

Bro, I changed my mind : I remember Tyson Fury tweeted he was not applying for his Boxing license at least two times! so, so that means the lineage was vacant! A.J vs. Klitschko was #1. vs. #2! Yeah Klitschko is good for a #2. spot two years after Tyson Fury beat him! Who else previously held more belts?! IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO!

                    I’ll explain why.

Fury he fought nobody for nearly three years.

Wilder has won his title and fought nobody for many years, Ortiz - who hasn’t beaten anyone himself - is the only name on his radar.

Joshua has unified the division against both Klitschko and Parker while no lineal champion has been in the game.

Therefore in my opinion if anyone stakes a claim in that period it is the one who unified twice. But as I also said the real fight is wilder vs Joshua to find out who it is in my opinion.

Fury doesn’t count anymore to me

Oh, so it's based on nothing. By the way, who did Joshua's belts belong to in 2015? Did that person ever lose those belts? Also, was Klitschko the WBA champion when Joshua fought him, or did they simply gift the bout the title?
