Who is the lineal HW champion?

Who would you say is the lineal heavyweight champion? Is it still Fury, since he hasn't lost it in the ring? Is it Joshua?

The winner of Wilder vs. Joshua

    The title is currently vacant

Tyson Fury, although I've seen credible arguments claiming Deontay Wilder as the lineal champion due to Lennox Lewis holding the WBC strap before retiring (and never being beaten by Wlad Klitschko).

Its vacant. 2 weeks ago the forum would be unanimous in saying its vacant

As of now, nobody. If Joshua vs Wilder happens the winner will be the Lineal Heavyweight champion.

The idea is that because Lennox retired with the WBC title, the lineage passed to the next WBC champion, which was EDIT: Vitali Klitschko, Bermane Stiverne, and then Deontay Wilder. Wladimir Klitschko didn't beat Lennox Lewis and never challenged for his title.

I don't completely subscribe to this, but I view it as a credible argument.

The next WBC champion after Lewis retired was Vitali Klitschko, not Stiverne. I don't understand.
