My bad. The idea still stands. Vitali was the lineal champion, then Stiverne, then Wilder, according to this argument.

This boxing channel articulates it well.

      it is Fury

Joshua never unified, he would need to beat Wilder

Fury is the man (the winner) who beat the man (the unified champ)

said this before..... but lineage is horribly over-rated, just like P4P

        it is not vacant

not unless Fury's win over Klitschko suddenly disappears from the record book

you are likely referring to ' The Ring '..... " title "..... which is not a title

The Ring, do not appoint lineage, they use it

Fury is the lineal champ...., not that it matters, and not that it means anything

It embarrassing that I come to a boxing forum and people think lineage is passed through titles. Tyson Fury is the lineal champion.

he used to have his nose in front of Wilder

but you simply cannot say that with a straight face now that Joshua is clearly avoiding that fight

Wilder is the top dog at HW, because he wants to fight Joshua

neither are " The Man '..... because they will need to fight in order to determine that

Based on what? By beating the man who got beat for the lineal title and was off for two years? Of Fury, Wilder, and Joshua, the furthest from the lineage is Joshua.

I don't know why some boxing fans put so much weight into the "lineal" championship anyway. Lineal doesn't automatically mean the best in the division. You have guys like Julio Cesar Gonzalez, Carlos Baldomir and Shannon Briggs becoming "Lineal champions" who were never even close to being the man in their respective weight classes.

He stated multiple times that he had retired.
He went away for 2 years and 7 months.

He was tested positive for *******?

How does that make you the legitimate lineal heavyweight champion?
