Well, ironically then, Jones and Kova were both done at 35.

The boxing ring is called 'the ring of truth' for a reason - the truth always comes eventually.
A fighters psychological, physical or technical flaws will always be revealed by the right opponent, even if they've been hidden before. Kovalev always had flaws, you can't blame anything on the first Ward fight scoring, someone else good enough would still have beat him. Then he would have crumbled, just like he has.
You can't wonder about 'what if's in boxing, it's just denial of reality. That's one of the reasons I love it so much. Bull**** always walks eventually.

He is just like Mike Tyson. At first everyone was afraid of the Krusher but now since he's starting to get his ass kicked now everybody is lining up wanting to fight him. Andre Ward ruined this Kid.Last edited by champion4ever; 08-05-2018, 10:56 AM.

Very unfortunate to hear Roy give up on someone who was in a clear decisive lead up until that thunderous right hand. Kovalev lost to an undefeated fighter and there’s no shame in that. I think he beats a slower Bivol still but he certainly has to regroup. By Roy’s account, Roy should’ve called his career finished after the KO to Tarver but didn’t and neither should Kovalev.
