And in Hopkins's case, he started much later than the others so he wasn't even a decade into his career at 35.

Kov doesn't like getting punched in the face. No boxer does, but he can't seem to process it and you can see the frustration/anger in his expressions. I wouldn't say he's finished but he really has to bring in someone who can get his head right.

I think alot has to do with him mentally becoming unraveled before the 2nd Ward fight then quickly got worst.

That has to do something to you being the scary arrogant "killer" then getting knocked out

yeah, along with just about every other boxer in the history of the sport. So by your logic, guys like sugar ray Leonard, Mike Tyson, Ali, duran, hearns, Oscar de la hoya, julio cesar chavez, pernell Whitaker, holyfield, would've had no right to say if another fighter was done because they themselves fought on past their prime. Get real. He's more qualified to make that comment then anyone in this message board.

I feel like a bunch of you are just jumping at the chance to shet on Roy.
He's asked a yes/no question. Had he said "no Kovalev isn't finished" a bunch of you would no doubt jump on him for that as well.
"Omg Roy don't enourage guys to keep getting themselves KOd in to their later years like you did" or something along those lines.

Roy is right. Kovalev can't seem to maintain his pace in the 2nd half of the fight.

His man went 12 rounds with both favored heavy hitters making them look average in the process. What fights you be watching? Oh and the reason he's quiet is because he's in the corner working. He called Krusher on the taking the jab bad and he asked the question right before the first knock down, "how will he handle it if Alvarez throws a hard punch?" Y'all talking like Roy didn't go through 4 weight classes to heavyweight without ever being on the canvas. Yes he got KO'D but that was after he was 35 and dropped 25 pounds. Y'ALL MUST'VE FORGOT!

Amazing how Roy can be saying this.

                      Irony at it's finest.
