You can start with James Jeffries as the biggest hype job before you can even scratch this century.

Guess Andre Ward is a ***** hype job, too, since the majority thought he lost to Kovalev in the first fight. And it's always Ward fans doing this, which is them discrediting the man's best wins.

It also completely dismisses a lot of tough, good fighters that Kovalev fought to reach the top. So you're just calling an entire division trash without seemingly realizing that you're cheapening Ward's career along the way.
Exactly. The whole narrative is exhausting. "Bums" and "Hypejobs" don't make it to the top of divisions. Kovalev 2 is Ward's best win in my opinion, and that's because of how how damn good Kovalev is/was.

Sooner or later the physical decline's going to come, for most boxers it's early to mid 30's, and he hasn't done half of what he could have achieved. I just read this in Scott Hall's voice in my head. Base-talking modda phukka

Caveman or not, his resume is HOF worthy and Ward beat him in what I would qualify as one of the most impressive masterclasses off the last 10 years, so yeah.

Everybody is a hype job, the man was a champ willing to fight anybody even Alvarez who Adonis blatantly ducked. I don't understand how Adonis is still champ and he picks and chooses to fight who he wants in Canada only!!!

Living off one knockdown of Ward in a fight he was completely schooled in after round 5.

Then proceeded to get nearly ko'd by a pillow puncher in Ward and QUIT in the rematch.

Didn't take a rocket scientist to work out if Ward could hurt him and make him quit what would someone who could actually throw a hurtful punch do to him?

He's lucky Chickenson ducked him or else he'd have ended the hypejob there and then.

Definition of a hypejob was "Krusher"
That's like saying Roy jones jr is the biggest hypejob ever for getting koed by tarver and johnson at the same age.

Glad we all agree that he was a proper overrated hypejob who needs to retire asap.

Or better still, if he sticks around it'll be fun viewing watching him get fed to the likes of Beterbiev, Buatsi, Bivol and Yarde.

Shut up ya bum, that's a horrendous comparison.

Kovalev has beat no one of note in his whole career, unless we're counting the old aged pensioner BHop.

His best "win" is a loss to to Ward knocked him down doe.

Not a hype job at all. He was a top notch fighter for a while and now he's not. It happens to the best of them.

Shall we call Pacquiao a hype job because he isn't the fighter he used to be too?

                      Ridiculous theory.
                      Another ridiculous comparison.

What is it with these mugs comparing all time greats who have ATG wins on their resume to a man whose BEST WIN is a 64 year old
