Guess Andre Ward is a ***** hype job, too, since the majority thought he lost to Kovalev in the first fight. And it's always Ward fans doing this, which is them discrediting the man's best wins.

It also completely dismisses a lot of tough, good fighters that Kovalev fought to reach the top. So you're just calling an entire division trash without seemingly realizing that you're cheapening Ward's career along the way.

Exactly. The whole narrative is exhausting. "Bums" and "Hypejobs" don't make it to the top of divisions. Kovalev 2 is Ward's best win in my opinion, and that's because of how how damn good Kovalev is/was.

I think Kovalev's story is sort of reflective of the way boxings become now. He started in his mid 20's, didn't start fighting top competition until 30, and then fought twice a year from that point. Sooner or later the physical decline's going to come, for most boxers it's early to mid 30's, and he hasn't done half of what he could have achieved. He's now hit the physical wall and hasn't achieved half of what he could have

Not a hype job at all. He was a top notch fighter for a while and now he's not. It happens to the best of them.
