I'm not talking about why Joshua fougt him, just asking how he got overrated. I know very well that Joshua was after his belt as he should be, props to him

Ortiz couldn't even fight until later on in the year. Why would Whyte stay out of the ring when there's a higher rated fighter right there ready for him?

Whyte turned down two eliminator fights. To say he earned his shot at the main prizes is to presume he has yet to have an opportunity. Presuming Wilder and Joshua fight in April, who does Whyte fight?

Maybe you are one who prefers a Whyte Joshua rematch....

The only ones who overrated Parker are people like you (certainly because of the WBO belt), I'm a big fan of Parker but I always said that he has zero chance against Wilder, Ortiz, Joshua, & Povetkin, his fight vs Andy Ruiz was the ultimate proof, and so all his title fights after, and I was thinking that he will be in trouble against Whyte, Chisora and any top-15, but is Parker can beat Whyte & Chisora? probably (because of their stamina) but he has a lot of work to do for that, he need to be stronger mentally, more smart, more vicious, more concentrated and more hungry, and his sparring partners are probably here to not hurt him during training camps.. and polynesians are emotional so not a good idea for him to bring his family to his fights, when against a tough opponent he probably fears to be ko'ed in front of his mother.. and the fact that he was happy at the end of the fight because of the last minute of that fight is another proof that he's not mature enough to understand his flaws

              • I had the fight 10-2 for Whyte. I thought he pretty much beat the fight out of Parker. Parker is too timid & needs to be more aggressive. Parker showed in the 12th he had what it takes to beat Whyte he just had no answer for Whyte's rough house tactics. After the headbutt knock down in the 2nd he went back to his backpedalling style instead of standing in there & exchanging. He has no inside game. The scorecards were way closer than I had it. 117-108 on my scorecard. Parker has nobody to blame but himself for losing this fight. He has more than enough power & skill to beat Whyte. If he came out in the 10th like he did in the 12th he may have stopped Whyte. If there was 20 more seconds in the round the result may have been different. Whyte should now be in position for a title shot in the next year or so.

I believe this has been a great learning experience for Joseph Parker and he'll become a much better fighter because of it. I'd like to see him fight Big Baby Miller next.
yeah helps being a fighter in the uk when you always seem to have the ref working on your side with complete bias and let the uk fighters get away with whatever they want.

                    Your absolutely right
                    Of course non grata
But it is what it is and we are getting a much clearer version of this heavyweight
                    Lots of scrap imo
