Jordan has a solid balanced core with low center of gravity, that's why he can Jump so high and can carry his body weight easily. Boxers who does a lot of ab workout tend to be stronger in both punches and absorbing punches. Power and punch resistance comes from the core. I think Mikey isn't in his best shape. His talent is keeping him up, but once he steps up with the top tiers, he'll know what he's missing when he's fuvked up in the ring.
    Its magic?

Aside from Spence who Mikey called out . Who's one of these guys that will test Mikey's body to the point where he realizes he needs S & C ?

Well running would definitely benefit his stamina and cardio conditioning. I really don't understand the benefits of strength training than other than moving up in weight, increasing a fighters short burst of speed and perhaps their power and durability.

          Those are pretty important things.

We can say that Mikey is "old school," but he's really just lazy with his training and his incredible skillset has gotten him by so far. Especially since he hasn't faced off against a prime A level fighter. Against a fellow technician and well conditioned athlete like Lomachenko or even Spence/Crawford, Mikey would look slow and lost.

Yes, I've noticed that. He looked very round and portly against Adrien Broner at 140.

Old timers did alot of push ups, pull ups, sit ups and medicine ball work. Im not saying mikey has to train and look like a bodybuilder but damn to do ZERO basic strength work??

A lot of old school boxers didnt. Holyfield is the guy that brought serious strength training to the game.

You can build strength naturally. I know basketball players(yeah different sport) who only do push ups and play pick up all off season.
