He hits the bag a lot, that's really all you need for strength. Although some work to keep things balanced wouldnt hurt.

Besides that sparring to stay sharp.

I do think he'd be in better shape if he shocked his muscles with a mixup though, and shadowboxing with weights yields amazing results considering you loosen up post but w/e.

Why do people keep saying this??? Old school boxers did alot of BASIC calisthenics....Push ups, pull ups, sit ups, and they did alot of medicine ball work.

It shows. He has no muscle definition whatsoever. However that doesn't keep him from having immense power and skill

No magic there. Those are opponents that are not top tiers, and those opponents can't even land any body punches to test his punch resistance to his body. Mikey's talent keeps them from landing any, but if someone tests him with power, I say he will crack like an egg when hit in the body, if what we hear in this thread says that he doesn't train any core exercises.

Like I said. It's his talent and skill that keeps him on top, but if he fights someone with power and skill and can land bombs in his body. That will be his Achilles heal. There is no such thing as a human that has a strong core without exercising it. You make it stronger through exercise.

Yes, Larry the reason you can walk, is because your legs have muscles too

Almost all of the old-time greats who did not lift weights competed against other fighters who...did not lift weights.

As a result, the winner was someone who...did not lift weights.
