The article I posted is from the New York Daily News. i dont know if they're part of Toney's team but i doubt it..

JT weighed 184 lbs before leaving the dressing room. a day before he was 167 lbs.

"That's an astonishing rise in weight. I don't know if any young fighter has ever had to do anything like that" - Larry Merchant during the broadcast.

"I was too fast for him. and I knew that the weight he lost was gonna be a difficult thing for him to handle..I commend him on how he made the weight but I knew that he would be washed..I mean you know, the weight would work on him"
*Larry then asks "but how did that play into your plans knowing that he will be weakened?"*

    - Roy Jones in postfight interview.

Jones resume wasnt that great and his fire blew out a long time ago
      Huh?

Manny's best wins have *'s all over them. Jones went from JMW to HW which hasn't been done in 120 years.

Hopkins fought 90% bums and his best wins came against smaller guys coming up.

It's a toss up who was better for all time Robinson or Jones. If you can't tell by skill and the eye test that Jones is P4P #1 compared to some chump stain like Manny who doesn't even know how to throw a fùcking hook properly YDKSAB.

Manny's footwork is all wrong, he's a 1-2 fighter that got guys when they were at their lowest. Who gives a shít how their career ended. Robinson's career ended badly too. Time to file you in a different folder. YDKSAB.

Right an article which quoted James Toney, a habitual excuse maker.

I will take from your refusal to answer the question that you don't have any evidence that he nearly fainted at the weigh in.

Ok again when didn't Toney kill himself to make weight and pile it on after the weigh in?

Has a record of 16-6-1 1NC (6 KOs) against former or current world titleists.

                Roy Jones

Has a record of 22-3 (14 KOs) in world title fights.
Has a record of 19-9 (8 KOs) against former, current and future world titlists.

I just dont get why people rank Roy automatically over Hopkins
Because he beat Hopkins AND James Toney in one sided schoolings when they were all younger, plus you can't consider Jones late career when comparing him to Hopkins, just compare Roy's career up until he lost to Tarver to Hopkin's entire career.I rank Roy a lot higher than Hopkins but I rank Pacquiao higher than both.

and James Toney had to shed like 18-20 lbs with four days before the Jones weigh in. he was so drained he was hooked to an IV.

                  these two wins are overrated.

the best win Roy had in the 90's was Montell Griffin.
                  Roy didn't want none? Pfffff!

                  Can't you recall the phrase 60-40 , I'll whoop yo a55! ????

Hopkins demanded a 50/50 split when Jones was p4p#1 and had already beaten Hopkins easy!

There's no clearer way to avoid a fight without actually saying it out loud!
