He's a talented fighter no doubt. But he's got a lot of work to do in the sport yet.

Not with that paper thin resume. Probably the biggest cherry picker in boxing and I'm glad it's finally being noticed by the fans.

10 years in, what are his best fights? Siri, Broner, hopefully Easter this Sat... IMO, thats borderline HOF at best.

I really like Mikey, and recognize his immense talent. But Im SOOOOOO TIRED of him calling out tough fights and not actually fighting them.

And call me a hAtEr, but it upsets me that people think he's a courageous guy just because he **calls out** tough fights....

Cmon fight fans, be a little cynical. Who has he ACTUALLY FOUGHT.

Has Mikey EVER been in a fight where he wasnt at least a -180 FAVORITE? I dont think he has. If he has, name the fight (He was about -200 fav over Broner).

HOW TF, given this information, is Mikey a "courageous fighter"?
Mikey Garcia is an undefeated 4-weight world champion, who likely beats Lomachenko at 135lbs (the skills conversation is what it is, but Mikey Garcia still has destructive power at 135, while Lomachenko's heavy power basically stopped at 130) to seal the division, while being the likely favorite at 140lb over every fighter not named Prograis or Crawford.

147 is likely too much for him, but if he becomes the 135lb and 140lb kingpin, after Winn world titles at 130 and 126, while still being unbeaten, he's in the hall on the first ballot whenever he's ready to go.

Floyd was maybe the underdog when he fought Genaro Hernandez and Jose Luis Castillo the first time. If you want to use the betting line as grounds to keep Floyd out, you're a fool.

Remilard, Salido, JuanMa, Rocky Martinez, Broner, and Lipinets now, with a likely slate of Easter Jr, Lomachenko, Prograis/Ramirez/etc in the near future. Not a bad run at all

His best win is beating Adrian Broner who is a has been and a never was at 140/147. Broner's best win is a shot Pauli who he never hurt once the whole fight.

I think both Crawford and Mikey are in the same boat.
I would love for Bud to fight either Spence or Garcia. The guy has more talent than either of those two, he'll go down as one of the greatest boxers in a couple decades. Garcia especially would serve his career well to avoid Bud at all costs.

Hard to say but he did beat Lipinets and he called out Spence so he's got that going.

Bud would crucify Mikey and I think Mickey knows it.

Mickey only fights Lomachenko, Prograis/Ramirez in your dreams, you may as well include Spence in that fantasy.

Reading is fundamental. I never said betting lines determines who gets into the HOF. I was pointing out that Mikey has never been an underdog in a fight to push against the view that he is "courageous" and willing to fight anyone.

Yes, of course betting lines have nothing to do w entrance to the HOF. The resume determines HOF. And so far, Mikey's resume is borderline HOF. Best wins are Siri, Broner, hopefully Easter on Sat. He needs to step up his comp to be a slam dunk for the HOF
