    Actions speak louder than words.

Dibella and Hearn just finalised a fight without any venue or date in the contracts, so that wasn't a deal breaker.

I don't think Hearn and AJ really wanted the fight next, but I know for sure that Wilder and Finkel didn't, because it was their's for the taking and they passed on it.
If a contract was sent with Wilders terms and he didn't sign, then that's bad on him. Ok, boo Wilder there. Just like Johnson turned down $50M.

But still, the man said, you train and fight Wilder. That's not a statement becoming of a world champion, especially one that is trying to poise himself as the face of boxing. That's a stark contradiction from saying "anyone can get that smoke " just a day or two prior

Think about it, Deontay who is from Alabama traveled to California and out of love for his daughter taught that creep Charlie Z. a lesson he'll never forget.
if he was that "serious", he shoulda been trying to take his head off. Travelling across the country to confront a mentally unstable internet troll shows questionable character.

I saw it as the statement of a man who is sick and tired of wasting time trying to deal with somebody who clearly isn't dealing straight with him.

"Anthony Joshua .. I accept your terms, Send me a contract ... but with different terms .. I want 50/50"

You think it's easy making a fight with a guy like that? .. you try it.

This is the ultimate form of denial. Every bit of context in that interview points to that man feeling like he is being forced to fight Wilder before he is "ready".

I never heard a boxer tell fans to go fight their rival because they don’t want to before.
I have never heard anyone say that either. Shameful..... On another note, who is the sexy woman with the orange background?! She is distracting me from my sh_t talking!

            • How some people still support the biggest duck in boxing is beyond me. By the way, I don't even like flawed Wilder but I think he beats Duck boy!

In the instance of Joshua fighting Wilder it is a strawman argument to say Americans are speaking out against Joshua because he is not an American. The criticism against AJ is that he and Hearn are obviously terrified about the prospect of AJ fighting Wilder. The article which is the basis of this thread makes it explicitly clear that Joshua does not want to fight Wilder and that he (despite previous claims) cares nothing about his fans and boxing fans in general
I agreed with you 100%. Still aj fans will spin this or ignore all together.

There is a contract ready for Wilder to sign. All he has to do is ask Finkel to buy him a pen and show him where to write his name.

I left out the part that he had gone to California on business and included the Charlie Z. terrorism act on a side trip.
