We heard these same remarks already in response to why Pacquiao should have accepted the flat fee when we now know he shouldn't have. Well everybody already knew but the Mayweather fans who ate up every word the Mayweathers said.
The funny thing is Wilder was on the verge of agreeing to the flat fee and the bout being in the UK when the alphabet org stepped in and ordered the Povetkin fight. Now they want him to agree to the same terms for a fight in April when they are unlikely to get such advantageous terms again. When traditionally you're not supposed to look past your next opponent, and also Joshua vs Povetkin could be a real stinker.

Correction to whoever wrote this article; Wilder was offered 12.5 million initially to fight Joshua in the UK which he rejected. He then sent Anthony Joshua an email claiming that he had 50 million dollars to bring the fight to the U.S. 50 million dollars was not the initial offer. Deontay Wilder did not make the initial offer. He rejected the initial offer. Get it correct boxingscene.

yes but deontay offered what joshua previously said he would be happy fighting for and he refused. 12.5m is an insult they clearly want no piece of wilder right now.

So that is what Wilder is fighting for; He wants to be the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world while the other guy only cares about and is fighting for money. He doesn't give a good damn about the things I've mentioned above but only himself.
If wilder is all the things you mentioned above, he would have signed the contract long long time ago.
So let's not go backward for the thing of the past.

                Jesus. Damning for Wilder.

He’s just admitted the money *wasn’t the issue* as to why they didn’t sign, but it was details like date & venue.

Why this wasn’t supplied is likely Eddie was waiting for clarification from Wembley on available dates. Let’s leave conspiracy theories aside- It was agreed it would be AJ’s next fight, and Hearn wanted to put this on the biggest stage.

Regardless, those dates have now been clarified, Wilder missed the bus on the first one (which would have been locked in by now had he just signed). April date remains and he *still* hasn’t signed.

I don’t see how anyone can defend this.

“Oh but Eddie kept coming back to us!” diddums. And yet you still didn’t sign.

“We did everything to get it made” yeah except pick up a pen.

                  Translation :

I have found a way to duck Joshua and will keep demanding unrealistic terms to avoid the fight

Dude, what was said in the article was factually incorrect. That's all my comment was about. I wasn't even making an argument. Truth is truth and false is false.

Yeah, the only issue with that is Hearn’s initial $12.5 million flat fee was a more serious offer than Wilder’s social media delivered $50 million detail-free take it or leave it no questions asked deal.

Secondly, all this talk of percentages and what Parker negotiated, when Parker ended up with less than $15 million.

Thirdly, Wilder says right here that money wasn’t the issue.

So, apologies to Fat Dan, but as usual he’s irrelevant here.
