Conveniently forgetting what you've already been told. They asked to discuss.. were told no..then they asked for a terms sheet and / or contract and were told no.
They then sent deontay a revised offer with a terms sheet..they agreed. They then sent then a contract..and they never signed. It wasn't a joke for wilder to agree to the terms for "legacy" but then ..it turned out he doesn't care about legacy..he wants money, and so does that money grabbing sheckle hoarder finkle.
Wilders being milked and robbed blind of his true worth ..anybody who thinks an American HW WBC champion with a 98% KO rate and 7 successful defenses shouldn't be PPV and getting more than 3 mil a fight is a moron.Comment

you just made my argument for me..i agree he has not being getting paid what he is worth and is now asking for what he deserves. your timeline on the contract is laughable to be honest considering the changes that hearn made to make sure deontay wouldnt agree. the fact they wanted a rematch clause for joshua but refused to give one to wilder says it all. as u said deontay deserves his pay and yes he cares about his legacy but hes wanting to get paid to cement it and who could blame him we would all do the same.Conveniently forgetting what you've already been told. They should ask Joshua the same think. He can be undisputed if his team offers a fair contract. Why not become undisputed and actually have someone in the US know your name? T-Rex does better ratings here than Joshua, its a whole new market he can have as the King of Boxing, but he refuses to give the only man standing in his way of this a reason to take the fight.Comment

The whole point is that the flat fee offer was probably the least important thing that happened in that entire saga. It wasn't during any of the numerous attempts that were made to negotiate with Arum and Pacquiao that it was even offered. It was during a happenstance interaction over the phone. Manny Pacquiao turned down the 50-50 deal over drug testing. That is the most significant and important thing that happened during the entire process. Almost more important than the fight itself. Yet people sweep that under the rug and pretend that it was Mayweather's off the cuff flat fee offer over the phone that caused that fight to stall. You being a Mayweather fan makes it even worse because you're picking up that same tired line that his haters used back then about the flat fee offer just because it suits your argument to support Deontay Wilder and his new self promotion strategy. If you can read, the article states "at one point Mayweather offered Pacquiao a $40 million dollar flat-fee..." That doesn't negate all that happened before! Secondly, Pacquiao still wound up getting 40%! Lastly, I'm a big Mayweather fan! Even Mayweather, in the end, knew it was worth it to give Manny 40%!Comment

Im pretty sure i could name some other mega fights through the years where the A-side has had a rematch and the B-side hasnt lol.you just made my argument for me..i agree he has not being getting paid what he is worth and is now asking for what he deserves. your timeline on the contract is laughable to be honest considering the changes that hearn made to make sure deontay wouldnt agree. the fact they wanted a rematch clause for joshua but refused to give one to wilder says it all. as u said deontay deserves his pay and yes he cares about his legacy but hes wanting to get paid to cement it and who could blame him we would all do the same.
if we're talking about laughable, then a fighter messaging a promoter offering 50 million, not haymon or finkel doing it is laughable. When that promoter messages back and says, very interested in your offer, can we meet and discuss at the meeting we already have planned and your team says "no, its unproductive" thats laughable.
You dont get to turn around and suddenly demand what youre worth from someone else promoter or team because yours is robbing you blind.
Wilder deserves 35% max.
50-50, when every financial and economic factor is included in the argument such as PPV buys per fighter, buyrate, market reach, sponorship etc is absolutely ludicrous.
Only BIAS for wilder or sheer anti-british emotion would suggest wilder is on a par on any level to suggest 50-50 is fair.

im neither british or american, im coming at it from a fairly objective point of view and regardless of what AJ fans feel i think Wilder has enough right to demand what he is worth. i like both fighters but truth is people believe anything that comes out of Hearn's mouth and in reality its all garbage hes just trying to sway public opinion and he seems to be pretty successful at doing so.Im pretty sure i could name some other mega fights through the years where the A-side has had a rematch and the B-side hasnt lol.
