    Keep smoking that crack.

Wilder says it's about the best vs the best.

Wilder has turned down 5 career high purses to fight 2 of the top 5 heavyweights in the world because the money wasn't enough even though he only makes $2.1m.

    Facts.
    Your wasting your time mate

Some guys are too dense to reason with

They would prefer the fight not to happen and cry foul . Welfare champion waiting for his big pay out that’s all it comes down too .

15million is not enough for wilder it’s more about getting his name out there instead of getting the fight . It’s painfully obvious .

It's frustrating. I hope that when it comes to it, after AJ fights Povetkin and Wilder fights (presumably) Breazeale the negotiations DON'T have to start from scratch, because it seemed the teams were genuinely close to a consensus.

I genuinely think that Wilder and Hearn's teams wanted to wait for another fight to marinate the super-fight further and that people arguing over who was "ducking" are missing the point. Looking at both sides actions - Finkel et al refusing a meeting and spending 5 days to respond with their comments; Hearn being obdurate with his flat fee offer and sending a "contract" which misses out such important details as to be legally ineffective - neither really seemed like they were busting a gut to make the fight happen.

Ideal situation (and something that I genuinely believe is a possibility) is that the AJ v Wilder fight gets announced in the ring if AJ beats Povetkin at Wembley.

The fight is not happening, but it's because British fans have been foolish enough to treat Anthony Joshua like some kind of deity after beating old man Klitschko in a back-and-fourth war. 41-year-old Wladimir Klitschko who was coming off the worst performance of his career. Joshua is a big fish in a tiny little pond of a nation, but he's just another musclebound palooka to the rest of the world. He's only the A-side in England, and that's why he'll never leave. Keep filling stadiums to watch him beat the likes of Takam. Spend your money how ever you like. He only has to fight the opponents that the British public demands, and apparently, they don't demand much of him. It's more important to them that Joshua is rich. As the rest of the world loses respect for Joshua, British fans just keep digging their heels into the sand and talking about "but he packs stadiums".
Hey Melon head what the hell are you ranting about? Joshua is only the A side in the U.K. if that helps you sleep at night we will take that. 13 commercial brands see it different. Wilder has 0 commercial brands interested in him but it could have been so different. Half of you Americans that are ranting on about Wilder are only doing it out of guilt. 75% of you have not supported him over3 years. Where were you all when he was rotting away in Alabama fighting in front of his family and church congregation. I always had his back even though I was from the U.K. . He fought bum after bum that’s why there was no real buzz.

Joshua emerged out of the Olympics so my attentions turned to him. However team Wilder has done Wilder a huge disservice. In his 34th fight he had the opportunity to face Klitscho and Winkel said Wilder is a young pup he is not ready.

Joshua has acquired all but one of the belts right under Wilders nose only having half the fights and you want to debate A side supremacy.lol.

Wilder also went live and death with an old man that didn’t achieve 1/20 of what Klitscho has achieved in his glittering career so I don’t know what point you are trying to make. I won’t lie we didn’t cover ourselves in glory during the negotiations but Wilder is saying 50/50 now surely that is a clear indication he doesn’t want the fight. Unless he was lying? Do you think he is lying or he means it. He actually said 50 /50 before so he is probably lying but thankfully we don’t hold you to what comes out of your mouth in an interview and talk about it for 3 months

The same idiots who cry about reasons for the fight not happening are the same ones cheerleading Wilder to hold out for more money but attack Joshua to accept less money ?

They would rather have Wilder not sign to make the fight happen instead they choose to be fan girls and place blame on the team that actually initiated the fight negotiating and sent an actual contract .

Hopefully when Wilder gets knocked out these idiots follow him off here .....

          • I'm sick of all this posturing from both sides. Hearn only threatened to lower his payday as a counter to the 50/50 purse demand but it's petty and pointless.

Wilder won't ever get 50% not in a million years, Joshua makes more in endorsements in a year than Wilder makes fighting, he's not even B-side he's C-side the disparity in earning power is that big. It would be like Maidana asking for 50/50 vs Mayweather or Bruce Seldon or Frank Bruno asking for 50/50 vs Tyson.

Also Wilder was the one who asked for the contract to be sent, probably thought they'd not send it, now they've sent one signed by Joshua and he's cornered and had to change his mind and reject the 15 mill and ask for 50/50 again.

GGG had 3 belts and had been a PPV fight Twice and did over 150k+ and was a P4P that had been paid 5 million already while Canelo had 0 belts and only did 300k recently against Smith but yet still accepts a 70/30 no rematch clause in his favor but Wilder won't accept 15mil whom his best payday is 1.5mil only has one belt and Joshua has 3 belts and got paid 8 figures a fight. GTFO with that ****. Wilder should never be compared to the Canelo GGG situation. He's too much of a ducker.

                • It seems to me the real negotiating went on at the wbc. Eddie said from square one fight DW then we’ll see about a Joshua fight, talked endlessly about various talking points to delay the fight, meanwhile DW miraculously became mando. So Hearn gets his wish, Wilder fights Whyte and he gets paid twice

I wouldn’t call Joshua’s camp initiator of anything, but they did finally come to the table after years of wilder asking for a fight. And why give Parker 33% in what seemed a routine negotiation and not give a bigger world champ whose fight would be more lucrative a similar percentage? It seems untoward.

Getting his name out there for what? He only wants one fight but Parker and klitschko has a different experience than this and neither took a flat fee
