If the fight is bigger, then there's no way Wilder should accept a flat fee. Nobody gets a flat fee in a fight this big.

I'm not knocking AJ, he's a good fighter. A very good fighter. But all this nonsense about A side and B side, about selling out 90k stadiums is getting ridiculous. Selling out stadiums does not make you the best. Ask Frank Bruno. He was the UK's favorite heavyweight for years. May actually still be. That didn't make him the best, did it?

AJ is the one that backed out of the 50 million he demanded and then backed out of the 15 million he offered. Wilder is right to have given up. If Hearn wants the fight in a new year, there will have to be a new deal. Flat fee is out the window.

Hearn didn't send a contract until Wilder accepted the offer. Wilder didn't send a contract because AJ rejected the offer. Pretty simple. Hearn's own actions show you send a contract after the offer has been accepted, not before.

Wilder and his team said yes to the deal but only after they thought that AJ had agreed to fight Povetkin. There was news in the media leaked by people like Frank Warren saying a deal was agreed.

At this point team Wilder publicly say they agree to the deal. It backfires though and they **** themselves when Hearn actually sends the contract as a deal with Povetkin was not finalised yet.

At this point they play around and delay signing or sending comments as they realise they are cornered.

When AJ can't get any more extensions and has to fight Povetkin team Wilder go yelling to the media that AJ ducked. Despite the fact they had a contract in front of them they just had go sign.

Hearn says the same offer still stands for a fight in April.
