I just hope that "Sasha" Povetkin is as good as he is advertised on this forum because if he is then he drops and then stops Anthony Joshua.

You could argue any of these are above Ortiz. Ortiz already had the chance to fight once but obviously chose not too,
but if Ortiz was matched up with Joshua I would happily watch that fight.
Fight who? hearns was giving him the run around. That is why he fought wilder. If it is up to hearns/aj, they would sign to fight the old man in 2025.

Could you please name 5 "great" heavyweight fighters that wanted to face Ortiz.

Because nobody earns a title shot by getting knocked out. It doesn't work that way. It never has and it never will. If Ortiz wants a shot at AJ he needs a win over a top contender. It is certainly not a given that he is the third best heavyweight in the world. I doubt any ranking place ranks him right behind AJ and Wilder after Wilder knocked him out.

You are absolutely right, but we must be realistic. No one wants to fight him. He just fought the best and lost, now he has to earn his way back by getting a couple of wins. Completely understandable makes perfect sense.

Now to address the other part of what you said, you really believe any top 10 heavyweight is willing to step in the ring with this man? He is the boogeyman for a reason. No one wants to fight him. Wilder was the only one who gave him an opportunity. No top contender is stepping into the ring with him, this is a fact. If he can atleast rack up a few wins, hes back in the mix you can't deny him that placement. He gave Wilder all he can handle, and will give AJ all he can handle if not beat him. This is why I want to see the fight. I want to see best matchups possible as a fellow boxing fan, and I feel everyone else should too. Simple.

He was next in line and both Joshua and Hearn had said he eat next. But he chose to go another way and fight wilder, that what’s his choice - and he obviously lost his place against Joshua as a result.

It's natural that Wilder fans want to big Ortiz up more than he is as he is the only legit guy Wilder has on his resume.

The fact he is unconditioned, slow, plodding and looked absolutely awful in fights just before Wilder doesn't matter.

The way Lou do bella was going on in the build up to the fight calling him the bogeyman and the most dangerous and avoided man in the division was laughable but it has obviously been swallowed by Wilder fans as they have been using the same quotes!

Look Ortiz has some skills but let's not lose reality here. He is definitely not as good a win as Klitschko anyone who claims that is out of their mind. Povetkin has a better pedigree again this can't be doubted. In my opinion Parker would beat Ortiz, the guy who said he knocks Parker out is mental that does not happen as he could not even knock Malik scott out!

Ortiz is generally rated higher by US fans. I think he's fought mainly US opponents on US networks and he's therefore received far more attention and analysis there. I like him. I think he's got real class in the ring. But I think the truth of how good he is, once age, boxing record, current physical condition etc is taken into account, probably sits somewhere between the US and European fans viewpoints. He's not as good as he's been portrayed by some, but he's not a spent force either and no HW should underestimate him.

Sadly for him I don't believe any will, because the risk/reward ratio for him is too high to make him an attractive opponent outside the US where he has a big reputation and there no-one will want him after he gave Wilder a scare.

Let truth be told. Anthony Joshua ducked Luis Ortiz; Just like he is ducking Deontay Wilder once he became his mandatory challenger for the WBA belt. Eddie Hearn and AJ wanted no parts of him and that's why Deontay Wilder ended up fighting him for his WBC strap.
