Both sides weighed up the projected numbers and likely agreed they can drag it out to get more buys all this back and forth is just hype to make you hate one side or the other and get you emotionally invested enough to buy a PPV zzz wake me up when its announced

Yeah Wilder turned down no rematch clause, Joshua turned down the 50 million. I hope he never lives it down. Bottom line is Joshua doesn't get **** for being an entitled Brit anymore. Understand the man is a hype job.

The side B argument went out the window once Joshua rejected Wilder's fifty million dollar guarantee (as Joshua was not the fighter bringing the big money to the fight). And as Wilder is an undefeated champion the contract must have a rematch clause either way. For Wilder to sign the contract without a cause granting him an instant rematch if he lost would be tantamount to saying that he was not a champion - that he did not hold a title. Hearn wrote a contract that Wilder had to reject, so don't be surprised that he did.

Nice try man but no. Just because aj rejected the offer wilder didn’t magically become the a side. He didn’t start selling out stadiums and millions of ppvs and generate millions of dollars for his fights so nothing really changed but that’s a cute way to look at things.

The same way there was only a rematch clause in place for Canelo/ggg if ggg won, no one complained about that this is the same thing. Ggg was an undefeated champion too but that doesn’t mean you aren’t the b side.

He's listing reasons for why the deal was unfair, one of which is the rematch, but that doesn't change the fact that he was willing to sign the unfair deal as long as the fight was NEXT.
