And if it doesn’t happen, it sucks for us. But to Team Wilder, the other side didn’t negotiate in good faith so they must not want the fight.
The heavyweight division is just icing on the cake for Haymon. Outside of Wilder and a few fighters he lines up to protect Wilder from mandatories, the heavyweight division is of little importance to Haymon. Wilder can go for 51-0 and still draw big ratings for Showtime.
But Haymon's bread and butter is still 126-154. The best American athletes bigger than that go into other sports.

I always say the hardest part of posting is putting yourself in the fighter’s shoes. I’m terrible at it.
But if you try, and you assume what they are saying is true, then they put their best foot forward, even offered a great counter deal, gave up concession after concession...only to find out the other side was stringing them along for months. So on top of everything else, they think Hearn is a slimeball.

But ask for 25million instead, rejecting the fight and blaming Hearn personally for getting his fighter the best possible deal etc, is not moving Deontay forward, it's keeping him down.
I hope that he doesn't do that. I like to watch Wilder fight, I consider myself a fan. Also of him as a person, I like his fighter attitude.
But imo he's been acting like a bit of a cry baby since, and I think he's too emotional for his own good. Coming out to say he hopes Joshua gets KOd etc, why?? It's just a little bit too much.
