Call that man Triple J, Juggernaut Joy Joyce, lol

I think he loses when he steps up, don't see him beating the top 4 of Wilder, (fit) Fury, Ortiz, and even AJ

but my thoughts are slightly different

    1) Hearn/Joshua are clearly avoiding that fight

    2) Joshua is a fkn beast, and he WILL face Wilder when he is ready, I have no doubt about that..... I do not believe that Joshua fears any man, other than the healthy invigorating fear to which he is accustomed

    3) Joshua/Hearn are ALL business at this point, especially with the super DANGEROUS Wilder..... which is smart, because with most of the fickle/ignorant observers in this era, you get ONE chance..... ONE!!

considering those points, the questions are.....

    * should Joshua be blamed for what is likely a common-sense, and somewhat understandable decision/plan.....?

    * should it affect his legacy at this point, and is it justification for fans to burn effigies of him at the stake?

the answers to those questions are actually more important/relevant than Lewis' comments were

    A. Absolutely, who the fk else is there to blame? come on lol

the (his) fans should be needling Joshua..... and asking him whats up..... and they should be supportive of Wilder

Wilder made genuine attempts to fight the long-standing world #2 (Povetkin) long before Joshua did..... and Ortiz was a dangerous fight with little upside

Joshua is clearly to blame, and he should be held responsible

and NOPE, Hearn is not the boss..... and he never will be

NO, of course not....., throwing Joshua under a bus would be silly, it is clearly obvious what they are doing

he should be blamed for avoiding that fight, no question.....

but they are OBVIOUSLY setting up that fight for the SHORT-TERM..... we will not see 5 years of "marination"..... it is obviously a smart business decision, and aside from what the 8-minute-attention-span (casual) fans say, the total potential appeal for that fight has not peaked as yet

we have waited much longer for much bigger fights

    my thoughts.....

    1) I will continue to support BOTH guys, as I usually do in these situations..... (fk off Golovkin fans lol, your boy bull****ted me/boxing for YEARS, even I have my limits)..... BOTH are terrific fighters who I enjoy watching.....

    2) NO WAY can you hold Joshua over Wilder at this point..... I do not care how many titles Joshua has, I do not care how many fans Joshua has, and I do not care that he beat Klitschko..... Wilder is just as relevant at heavyweight, and no matter which way you swing that is close to a 50/50 fight

I will go further on that..... Wilder is actually MORE relevant than Joshua, because he wants that fight NOW

I will continue to needle AJ, and I will continue to ask him whats up..... like his other fans should be doing..... and until that fight happens, I will consider Wilder the #1 heavyweight on the planet..... simply because, he wants that fight NOW

hard luck AJ, you know what to do about it

    WAR Wilder..... WAR Joshua !!

when it happens..... may the best man win !
I'm glad you got the patience of a senior citizen but sorry i dont. This is a mega fight that should be happening and then they could fight again next year.

Wilder will be 33 or 36 by the time AJ feels ready that he can take on Wilder!

If AJ says he's not ready then why not just make a video to all fans and say,"Look Deontay Wilder is the best heavyweight in the WORLD, He's a dangerous fight for me with my little bit of experience right now. I don't want to fight him until I'm at my absolute best."

Nope, AJ talked trash and said he would destroy Wilder within 3 rounds and that he was an easier fight than Joseph Parker!

How can you support a man that flip flops more than sandals?

One minute he says he won't be rushed to fight Wilder then says he'll knock him spark out, then he says he's not ready for Wilder but then calls him out, he says he wants to fight Wilder but then refuses to face off with him in the ring after his fight!

Don't you see AJ is playing you and so many fans?!

I'm sure you'll pay for the Joshua vs PEDvetkin fight so i won't bother with your decision, i just want to know what makes you have so much continued faith in a man that has played with people's intelligence?!

ALL of this could've been avoided if he just made a vid on proclaiming Wilder is the best and that he's not confident in beating him right now instead of stringing Wilder and the fan's along for months!

But but but they say Wilder fights nothing but bums and AJ fights the best of the best and if that's true then how come it's not Wilder that's saying he needs more experience due to fighting nothing but bums while AJ having more since he fought the cream of the crop?!

Open your eyes man, the signs are all around you! AJ is just a overprotected businessman with primadonna complex!

They tried to make it seem like Wilder didn't want the fight and tried to blame Wilder for it while taking no blame and coming out smelling like roses but it backfired cuz they underestimated folks intelligence outside the UK!

AJ allowed Hearn to put him a gag order on him cuz since he DEMANDED 50 million we haven't heard a peep from him since! What type of champion is that? He's allowing Edwards Hearns speak for him, a 6'6 250 grown @$$ man allowing some privileged spoiled con man in a car salesman suit be his mouthpiece!

I'm sorry but not sorry, i can't support a guy who's all over the place and is not valiantly chasing undisputed aspirations cuz he doesn't as much confidence in beating his rival opponent!

Boxing needs less AJ's and more Wilder's, matter fact there is only 1 AJ! I never seen someone decline their own demand before and come up with nearly a 30 excuses as to move the goalposts for the fight!

    Continue supporting nonsese, I won't!

You better tell these morons something! It's exactly what it is. However his fanboys are in denial. The title thread speaks for itself. Lennox Lewis: Joshua Changed His Tune About Fighting Wilder. How the Hell is that blaming Deontay for the fight not happening when he credited Deontay for wanting to go to the U.K. In order to make the fight happen. I am sorry but this is all on Anthony Joshua. Let his fans lie, spin and be in denial all they want but the facts remain.

Lennox is spot on with this assessment. AJ has the right to choose. His choice was Povetkin. Ok accept that he went for the payday before the tougher defense and move on.

You know what is really wrong with boxing- a guy that cheated twice to avoid fighting Wilder gets chosen for a title fight ahead of Wilder.

Since when $2.5 million is a deal breaker? Perhaps Wilder would have taken the $12.5m Flat-fee but Joshua requested a $50 million guarantee, in addition, to the upside of the pay per view sales and live gate.

However, Joshua wasn't permitted to keep it because he had been instructed by his promoters Barry and Eddie Hearn to return it so they could stage the fight in the U.K. Therefore he turned the offer down. To his credit, Deontay Wilder agreed and conceded to all of Anthony Joshua terms and yet still there was no fight.

So it's not hard to see who really wanted this fight to happen and the ones who were actually negotiating in good faith and it was definitely not AJ or his Team.

Wilder agreed to take short money for this bout all along by agreeing to all of their terms and conditions. This fight should have been one of the easiest fights to make in history. Not only did Deontay agreed to give AJ the larger slice of the pie, he even agreed to fight him in his own country.

As I've stated earlier and just as Lennox Lewis so eloquently stated recently, if Joshua really wanted this fight it would have happened. He said he wanted it after the Joseph Parker fight but suddenly changed his tune.

He has no excuses for cancelling this fight because Deontay bent and bent some more but Joshua and his Team just never wanted this fight to begin with but in order to save face, were just to afraid to admit it.

Joshua DID change his tune. No doubt about it. Does that mean it's a duck? Hell no. His reasoning for changing his tune was very fair IMO.

    - Nobody told us what Wilder would get from the $50m offer. How could Joshua be sure he was getting a fair slice?

    - Wilder would have EVERYTHING else in his favour if AJ said yes.

    - If the fight exceeded expectations Wilder could have got $55m and Joshua got $55m. As the draw in this situation, AJ is not going to give up EVERY advantage for only 50%.

Let's be real here. If Wilder offered guaranteed $50m or 60/40, maybe 65/35 split? AJ would have probably accepted.
Explain how you came to this conclusion. When Wilder’s side was assuming all the financial risks. Especially when AJ isn’t a proven draw in America. Which is where the fight would have taken place had AJ accepted the $50M guarantee. The only thing we have to go on as far as AJ’s drawing power in America is his low TV ratings. Wilder’s ratings are actually better.
