They should have left it 65% & 35%. But winner takes the 65%!!. May get a great fight with alot of action that way. GGG was robbed the last time they fought and seemed to be figuring out how to fight canelo and getting better & more comfortable each round. Go kick his ass again G!

This only goes to show that Golovkin won the negotiations at the bargaining table due in large part to Canelo Alvarez, who probably persuaded De La Hoya to bend more. GGG had gone from 35 percent to 45 percent. That's major because Oscar has a history of being a hard bargain. He whipped De La Hoya at his own game. Kudos and congratulations to Team Golovkin. I couldn't have been more proud of them. They deserved it in light of these circumstances.

They figured that dealing with Jacobs would be a breeze then he turned down 20% which showed them dealing with DJ will be a headache so they gave GGG his money.

Yeah good for him, hes 36 and there are no other big money fights in sight for him, no one close to as big a star as canelo, so this was his last chance to cash out before retirement. GGG isnt generating anywhere close to 45% of the revenue for this fight so they really took it to Oscar.

I was pretty surprised to read the other day that Cotto got the majority in his fight with Canelo, I think a 55-45 split or something like that. Cotto is a legendary diva and it seems like Canelo is willing to cave a lot on negotiations.

Truth - you would think that half these guys have some financial stake in this deal. Instead of being happy about a good fight being made their complaining about the split, smh.

Just like when Nelo was against the ropes & gave lil g an invitation but lil g declined? lil g must of been worried about getting hit as he was the whole fight.
