he doesn't bring as much to the table but Canelo needs this fight for 2 reasons. 1 is financially he'll make money vs ggg than he will vs anyone and 2. He knows that most had him losing the first fight and to boot his reputation took an even bigger hit with the positive ped test. He needs to beat ggg with active drug testing to salvage his reputation or this dark cloud will stay with him. He had more to lose legacy wise than ggg if the rematch didn't happen. So he didn't concede leverage, he was forced to.

I guess. GGG made out well by calling Golden Boys bluff. He still ain't worth 50-50 though.

Who cares about Canelo?

Nobody in their right mind believes that GGG is worth 50% compared to Canelo. GGG couldn't sell over 200,000 PPV buys and he fought Jacobs in one of the best fights that the 160 pound division has ever produced. Canelo could fight a lemon tree and get more ppv buys.

Alvarez acts like a spoiled child. Although he fought a good fight last time he still lost then acted like a spoiled child about the results.
I hope he loses and Golovkin fights him with much less respect.

stop it, canelo is a super diva and he definitely cares about trying to pull his A side rank. He didn't let cotto be anything. Cotto was a more established star than Canelo was when they fought and Canelo didn't give in to ggg in this situation. He knows he makes much less money with anyone else regardless of percentage split. Golden boy got made to look like fools by making Oscar go back on his word. Although making Oscar look like a liar is easy work.

Dude, stop being so delusional, they both need each other to do the numbers that will pay them a fortune. GGG don't draw squat without Canelita, but Canelita won't get 1.6-1.8million buys without GGG.

on another note, would it get people more upset if the split was 52.5%-47.5%, because that's 5% more.. 55%-45% is 10% more.

Either way i'm Mexican and i'm rooting for the G because it's nice to see someone work their way up to paydays and belts.. not getting them handed with weak opposition.
