Who gives a sh.it if he’s been competing at WW and been active

His resume is filled with no names that are ranked between 150-1100.

Not saying Vanes was a good opponent or should have been sanctioned by the IBF but At least Vanes Competed against the very best at 154. I give that more stock then a guy beating scrubs even with a layoff.

      The IBF cares.

He also agreed to an IBF eliminator and his opponent ducked the fight, which is how he got the mandatory position.

The IBF keeps it moving. If people aren't lining up to face Spence, someone is going to get the shot. Ocampo was the best guy willing to step up. Not his fault Konstantin Ponomarev ducked the eliminator.

one guy competes at 154 (didnt fight for 2 years)

        compared to a guy

that competes at 160 lbs (has been an active fighter & is the mandatory)

whether you like it or not derevyanchenko is the better fighter at this point in time to fight for a mw title since hes been fighting at mw and hasnt had a 2 year lay off

DOES NOT MATTER who he has fought before Tureano johnson because with that win he got himself the mando for the IBF

Have you seen ocampos opponents? If you're making an argument only based on record that's pretty pathetic.

It's sad to see this forum go to ****. People are actually saying ocampo is a better opponent than vanes. I give up.

this is what it comes down to...whether or not the org ranks the fighter, not public opinion on the quality of that fighter.

Vanes was unranked and therefore ineligible for a title shot.

actually ugas is rated higher than ocampo by the ibf and fought the eliminator, but the ibf had already sanctioned the ocampo fight before the eliminator

BUT ALL THAT ASIDE HOW CAN VANES BE BETTER THEN ANYONES OPPONENT? 3-3 IN HIS LAST 6, 2 YEAR LAYOFF AND 0 FIGHTS AT 160..STOP!!!!!!!!!!
