Why wont Whyte vs Joshua happen if he doesn't have a belt ?
Are they going to reject him as the mandatory challenger if he defeats Pulev ?
Comeon now its clear as day who doesn't have big fights ahead in terms of generating significant interest and thats Wilder without Joshua .
Theres literally no one he can fight besides MAYBE Fury to get him a decent look but thats not going to happen bc Joshua is a U.K rivalry fight that is huge .
This is Wilders possible landscape ........for the next 2 years not including Joshua as of now !
1 . Breazeale ( Joshua defeated ) . Comparison Fight
2 . Tony Bellew
3 . Joe Parker ( Joshua defeated ) . Comparison Fight
4. Luis Ortiz ( Rematch ) . Huge Fight
5 . Dillian Whyte ( Joshua defeated ) . Comparison Fight
6. Adam Kownacki ( Undefeated ) / Charles Martin ( Joshua defeated ) winner . Decent or Comparison Fight ?
Thats litered with guys that Joshua defeated . Wilder would get limited credit when Joshua is defeating more top guys . It will look like Wilder has no clue what hes doing . The guys Joshua defeated im not counting in terms of the thread topic .
Joshua potential fights in 2 year time span .......
1. Povetkin . Huge Fight
2. Jerrell Miller ( Undefeated ) . Decent Fight
3 . Dillian Whyte ( Rematch ) . Huge Fight
4. Tyson Fury ( Undefeated ) . Mega fight
5 . Joe Parker ( Rematch ). Huge Fight
6 . Kubrat Pulev . Decent Fight
This puts a big reality check on what the thread subject is !
The score is 3 Huge fights and 1 Mega fight for Joshua vs Only 1 Huge fight for Wilders resume against aging Ortiz .
Thats assuming Wilder doesn't get clobbered which is by far a more possibility before Joshua .
I agree with pretty much everything you're saying, but I'll put the caveat that the fights listed as huge, are only really huge to us hardcore boxing fans.
1) Povetkin is a good fight but not really well known in the UK for casuals. It will make reasonable money but not because of Povetkin.
2)Jerrell Miller, again totally unknown to average Joe, but definitely an interesting matchup.
3) I'm very sure Hearn won't let Dillian face Joshua until he has a belt, because it goes from a big fight to a mega fight. If it happens next week Joshua won't get any credit as everyone will just say he's already knocked him out recently. If he has a belt it puts a different edge to the promotion. It will make double or treble the money easy.
4) No doubt, this is THE fight. Dare I say even bigger than Joshua Vs Wilder. I'm hoping he looks good in the upcoming fight and gets himself in proper physical and mental shape.
5) First fight was a snoozefest, I don't think people will be clamouring to see it again. Good fight, maybe not that big of a spectacle.
6) Pulev is good fight for Joshua, but again outside of Russia and eastern Europe he's not really a household name.
Other than Fury and Dillian with a belt nobody will be making Joshua any big money or add to his legacy. Even then Dillian will have limited effect on that legacy given the first fight.
Basically, once Fury is really back in the game, Joshua won't get any credit for rolling over any of those names. In fact given what I see in these forums he'll be called out for fighting "bums and taxi drivers" for fighting the majority of them. Even though they're the best the division has to offer outside of Wilder and Fury.Comment

Yeah, Fury is who I was alluding to when I said "not ready for a year or two"There's this Fury guy I've heard is coming back, so there will be options for both - but Fury Vs AJ makes plenty more than Fury Vs Wilder.
Wilder needs to get his finger out his hoop and realize he's the B side and sign the fight in the UK, get paid and if he wins get paid again in a Vegas rematch. Someone speak some sense into the lad.
BTW, we've got a very good, future world champion coming up in Daniel Dubois.
Dillian Whyte is better than any American heavy right now, including windmill.
In terms of mega fights both have very limited options outside of each other.
I agree that in America there really isn't any other "big" heavyweight. Big Baby is the second name after Wilder, and outside of boxing circles hes a complete unknown. Breazeale is just a waste of space, he got smashed by Joshua, will get destroyed by Wilder and someone like Whyte or Ortiz probably put him on the canvas too.
The UK definitely has some good prospects in Dubois and Joyce, but only time will tell as both are just starting out.Comment

Wilder is the luckiest fighter alive, he spent 8 yrs doing nothing and now he's going to earn $$$£££'s because Joshua is a star. smhComment

Haha, That 50 Mill was the guarantee to Joshua, not Wilder. Wilder won't earn anywhere near to that when he fights. For you to think otherwise just shows the level of delusion you Americans are going to.It's that sideways English logic. Think about it. We're supposed to believe that AJ is so well off and poor Wilder is going to suffer. Wilder is the one with 50 million dollars. His stock has just shot up exponentially. Hearn couldn't help Wilder better if he was his manager. Wilder is a household name in the UK now thanks to Hearn and AJ.
Haha, Wilder is a household name in the UK? Man, you people are really creepy aren't you? The vast majority of the country don't even watch Joshua fights, they just know he's a fighter. And the ones who do watch, only the hardcore boxing fans know Wilder, not the casuals.
So stay idiotic. Stay ******ed. Stay being beyond delusional. Haha.Comment

Joshua will be just fine fighting all the top names whilst Wilder fights his bums. AJ will be known by history, Wilder won't even be recognised because no one knows him now.Without Wilder, Joshuas future will be known as the greatest HYPE JOB in UK history! He won't be worthy to shine Lennox Lewis' shoes or even wash his dreadlocks!.....A Juicin' J will continue to hold gullible UK zombies in "muscle hero trance" - dedicated to watching his many more "risk free" fights - which will also be funded & sustained for Hearn by the gullible zombies!......Next up!?? 39yr old PAST PRIME Belly Fat PEDveton
in mid September
!!!!
Is Leonard a hypejob for not fighting McCallum? Of course he isn't. And anyway, the fight is there for Wilder if he wants it. But as you can see, he clearly doesn't.Comment

AJ has accepted. He's the A side so he wants the fight in the UK. Wilder has to accept this because he's the D side in all of this. But does he really want it? The answer is no.That's what I said. If it wasn't for Hearn and AJ NOBODY would know "birdlegs" in the UK. Wahaha. AJ has 30+ pounds on the man. This will haunt AJ, wait and see, he will get quizzed about the 50 mil he left on the table vs a smaller man, from now until he does something about it. He has three choices. 1. Accept. 2. Come up with more money, more than 50 million. 3. Lay an egg.
You think Eddie needs to make an offer to Wilder that is more than 50 Mill? Oh dear, you people have really lost the ****ing plot now. Wilder earns 1.5 Mill a fight, he's getting nowhere to that much money. For you to think otherwise is beyond crazy. You must be a troll.Comment

I don't get why people talk about Wilder getting 1.5 million like he is getting poor or somethingComment

Hearn made an improved offer. They're not trying to get Wilder over here for the same price, so stop making up lies."Anthony Joshua wants to fight in the UK, and I don't want to pay any more than the original $12.5m offered, even with concrete proof that the pie is bigger outside of the UK, and he's going to play the media game in hopes of either getting Wilder to fight for less money or avoid the fight altogether"Comment

The US is the most corrupt place to fight for any overseas fighter, so don't give me that. Why didn't the article mention Wilder has also fought in the UK. He also flew to Russia to fight Povetkin but he tested positive for steroids. Aj had a home cookimg during the olympics as well as 2 early stoppages in a roe and a shaky ref the whole parker fight. Kind of sketchy for Wilder to risk going over there
Wilder didn't fly to Russia, he was in England when he got the news of Povetkin failing a test. He then flew home the very same day without looking into what was going on because he never really wanted to fight Povetkin in the first place. He was forced to because his side lost the purse-bid.Comment
