Comments Thread For: Hearn: Without Joshua, Wilder's Future is Not Too Bright or Rosy

Wilder needs a ref to save him from a knockout the way he was saved against Ortiz. He won't come to the UK.

False reporting Wilder fought Audley Harrison in the U.K.

"Wilder (40-0), who is from Tuscaloosa, Ala., has never had a fight outside the United States, Mexico or Puerto Rico. "

Can you imagine that fight being in the UK?

          Wilder would of lost

If Joshua can get passed Povetkin he can fight Big Baby Miller, Pulev-Whyte winner and possibly Fury after that. Not saying I like it but he can put that fight on the back burner for some time. Wilder doesn't have the best options. Kownacki and Breazeale probably...

Wilder went to the UK and fought Oddly, he wasn't impressed. I don't think he's into musty museums. Where has Joshua fought? His front yard, his back yard, and his living room. Iron apron strings on that guy.

As much as it hurts to admit it, Hearn is right. However once Povetkin fight is over neither really has any options that would generate big money. Except maybe Dillian Whyte vs Wilder. Dillian Vs Joshua 2 won't happen unless Whyte has a belt.

So in conclusion, the only real threat or money making opportunity for both is to fight each other. There isn't really another name ready in the next year or two that they can justify to their own pockets or their fans.
