Settle for 60-40 but if you can't get that take the 35%. Canelo IS the A side. It's business - nobody giving favors unnecessarily unless they like you. You did many things to cause Canelo to really dislike you. So yeah - tough **** and accept 35% and if you can get 40% count yourself lucky.

This is a no-brainer. Really. And the alternatives are not great. Fight D-Chenko and Charlo and see how that 36 yr old body holds up. Chase BJS around the ring. And probably fighting all three brings in a total less than fighting one fight with Canelo at 35%.

Somebody needs to have a word with Gennady and point out what's what.

GGG is wrong here. Cotto did less because of the magnitude of the fight. But GGG on his own doesn't sell like Cotto without another big star.

Cotto had shown he could sell without Canelo at that time. Dumb logic from GGG's camp.

I'd say it should be 60/40 and let's move on. If GGG sticks to 50/50 or 55/45, then he's going to regret it forever because he's going to end up taking probably a more dangerous fight for A LOT less.

Certainly they should be able to do a 60/40 Canelo/GGG. Doesn't matter who's champ in this particular scenario, since Canelo is definitely the main draw. No 50/50 though. That's even more ridiculous than the 65/35 number. Canelo isn't afraid to fight GGG, but he is being a bit greedy here, just like GGG is being a bit delusional. Canelo haters can trash him all they want, but GGG certainly isn't worth a 50/50 deal, champ or no champ. He simply isn't a big draw.

Look, GGG has already accepted a 65-35 split and chose to walk away from that. To be sensitive to GGG's feelings, GB should offer a 65-35 split PLUS an autographed picture of Bernard Hopkins and then call it a day. Time to MOVE ON folks.
