Cotto at the time was probably the 3rd biggest draw behind only Floyd and manny and been part of many big ppvs. GGG Has been in 2 ppvs flops and never sold without canelo. 2) Canelo BEFORE he beat cotto isn't the same draw as he is today. He's a bigger star and draw now. 3) that fight was not on a Mexican holiday and was with amateur Roc Nation running the A side promotion leaving all kinds of money on the table. Had that fight been promoted by golden boy and on sept or may Mexican holidays it would of made more money.

Canelo/chavez happened last year and out sold Canelo/Cotto. So does that mean chavez is a bigger ppv draw then cotto? Nobody is dumb enough to say that it just made more money because canelo is a bigger star today and it was a stagged on a better date with a better promoter running the show. That fight is more relevant then canelo/cotto. Canelo/chavez did 1M and Canelo/GGG drew 1.2M just a few months later. GGG added but only slightly and without canelo he can't even sell 150K ppv buys while canelo proved he could sell 1M last year without fighting GGG, FLoyd, Cotto.

all those fights do good gates, not too sure about ppv buys. I'd estimate not more than half a mil buys for any of those.

Liar smith did 300K and chavez did 1M. Khan did 600k, cotto did 900k. Cherry picking the worst canelo ppv then lying to lower it and still his worst ever did double GGG ppv that did 97K-150K depending on which source you believe canelo still did double with his worst opponent then GGG did with at the time his biggest and best opponent. There are no apples you can compare that show GGG draws anywhere near the same ppvs and generates the same money in his fights without canelo as canelo does in his fights without GGG. GGG fans making fools of themselves saying GGG is the same level star as canelo just to justify their hero ducking and pricing himself out a fight. LMAO

60-40, take it or leave it! GGG is not getting 50% after calling for the suspension, the commercials, etc.! GGG is not Miguel Cotto! Mexico vs. Puerto Rico has a long history! Cotto did NOT get 55% because he was the champion, he got it because he was Miguel Cotto! I am sure Danny Jacobs will take 35% in a heartbeat!

.... Except Golovkin/Canelo generated significantly more buys than cotto /Canelo.
