    What point is that?

It's got nothing to do with arrogance or thinking he's the A side. Only PPV sales matters. History proves that Canelo is the A side and he only way to dismiss that fact is with new evidence - ie falling ppv sales. There is no evidence right now.

Cotto did NOT get 55% because he was the champion, he got it because he was Miguel Cotto! I am sure Danny Jacobs will take 35% in a heartbeat!
yet the GGG vs clenelo ppv by far outsold clenelo vs joto ppv. For all that history the fight couldnt even surpass 1 million buys. Golovkin did over million he should definitely get a better split. They won't fight jacobs too risky lol it will be spike.

*** it! if GGG is soo butt hurt maybe Oscar can autograph a few kitchen utensils for him as well...

            Spence vs Porter/Garcia winner

How naive is GGG and his promoter. They want "fairness", what the hell does that have to do with the business side of boxing? The only time GGG headlined a pay per view card it was a total failure and now he wants a 50/50 split.

There is no reason why Canelo should give it to him. Not even Manny Paq got a 50/50 split with Floyd and he was much more deserving than GGG.

Whomever is advising GGG is going to cost him millions. 35% from a Canelo rematch is much more than he could make fighting anyone else. Using Cotto as some sort of measuring stick is nuts because Cotto was a much bigger name than GGG and he did not just bring a title to the table. He brought Puerto Rico which is a very large boxing fanbase. What fanbase does GGG bring from Kazakhstan. Cotto vs Canelo brought the traditional MX vs Puerto Rico aspect to the fight. Cotto is a 4 division champ and had been in the ring with Mayweather, Paquiao, Martinez, Molsey. Plus, look at Cotto's successful pay per view career. Cotto was the 3rd biggest pay per view star in boxing after Floyd and Manny. Cotto was always a strong ticket seller, he always sold out Madison Sq Garden, he always had huge crowds where ever he fought and no matter who he fought.

I bet Cotto's fight last fall at the stub hub sold more tickets than GGG's fight this month. Cotto had big competition that night and he still sold more than GGG. GGG fought on a big traditional boxing date and he had 0 competition and he still could not outsell Miguel Cotto. To put it simply Cotto was a star and Canelo is a star. GGG is not a star no matter how much GGG fans want him to be this generations Mike Tyson.

GGG is delusional. Once again he ko's a bum and it seems to inflate his ego and his actual worth in terms of dollar amounts.

Golovkin like Pacman doesnt seem too smart. Drugs got nothing to do with this. Canelo is the ticket seller and this is business.

Cotto had shown he could sell without Canelo at that time. Dumb logic from GGG's camp.

I'd say it should be 60/40 and let's move on. If GGG sticks to 50/50 or 55/45, then he's going to regret it forever because he's going to end up taking probably a more dangerous fight for A LOT less.
At that time and despite Canelo's popularity, GB, Canelo, and everyone else understood that Cotto was the A side. It was a smart move on Canelo's part to accept that reality, because that fight established his PPV bonafides in future fights.
