LOL, yea you aren't wrong I'd be surprised if someone was surprised by this turn of events by Broner.

Broner could damn near use the George Costanza opposite life strategy & be in a better place today then he's been at since Maidana.

Add to that that those signed to Haymon only pay him a flat fee while if they signed with Hearn they would pay him a percentage from their purse.
you dont know what you are talking about. It is illegal for a promoter to take a percentage of a negotiated purse. The only times a promoter can legally take a percentage is in purse bid fights, and if there is a revenue share agreement, such as Golden Boy / Canelo who have an 80-20 revenue agreement

            Broner is done, lol

He can't hang with the elite at 147lbs, and he's too undisciplined to get his body down to 140lbs either.

Eddie Hearn offered Broner a lifeline, in the face of him basically being done in feature fights with a bad performance against Vargas.

            Guess you can't help everyone.

I bet Arum told him that, unlike other promoters, he genuinely cares
Or Arum paid him enough of a signing bonus that even if he sits on the shelf a while, it'll be worth it.

Broner doesn't have the juice Wilder does though.

Broner isn't a top 5 welterweight (though he may be a top 5 140lb fighter if he could make the weight), has performed ****ty when put on the big stage, and doesn't bring much outside new money with him.

Broner doesn't have $5m backing him, nevermind $50m.

Ok, he went from 40 m guaranteed to 6.75 m guaranteed and he keeps negotiating a better deal, smart.
