Can't believe all the people on here who don't want to see a rematch, the fight was great both men showed a lot of skill and heart. If you didn't enjoy this fight maybe boxing isn't for you.

I wouldn't be too hard on those that don't want to see it again. I enjoyed the fight but wasn't impressed by either fighter. Jack gave away too many early rounds trying to avoid getting clipped and Stevenson didn't do a whole lot to take them. Stevenson got gassed in the 7th but not really because Badou did anything to make that happen except continue to be not kayo'd. Only after Adonis tired did Jack decide to get aggressive. Stevenson still has heart and wicked power but he's ripe for the taking. Jack is solid but seemed way to concerned about protecting his chin to be able to win it.
Gvozdyk presents new and unknown challenges. The Nail looks dynamic and dangerous in one fight and then incredibly pedestrian in the next. Dropped by Karpency, then blows through the rugged Chilemba, destroys Yuniesky Gonzalez then taken the distance against Amar. Which version of the Nail do we get if he challenges a very vulnerable Superman?Comment

Wouldn't mind seeing Gvozdyk but Jack is still a bigger name at this point. I may be wrong but i don't think Gvozdyk would survive this kind of grueling fight against either and we know that is the blueprint to beat the Russian Ukrainian style (Beterbiev is an exception and Lomachenko had to learn the hard way vs Salido).Comment

No way, what are you smoking? The fight had so much holding and fouling, and both guys only gave you a show for like 1/3 of the fight. The other 2/3 of the fight both were just hugging and conserving energy. They showed grit to fight through the fatigue, but the fatigue was still there for most of the fight with both guys. Gvozdyk-Stevenson will be a better fight one way or the other.Comment

Alvarez was the mandatory for 5 years and fought 4 final eliminators and now that another eastern euro backed by Crooked Bob is in the mandatory slot the wbc suddenly decides to enforce their mandatories lol.Comment

The promotional company work for the fighter, not the other way around. If Gvozdyk tells his people"make it happen" and his people can't give him a true reason not too and it is a mandatory Stevenson has to take or be stripped of the title, it will happen. Boxers have to start forcing the issues on their careers.Comment

I would be fine with a rematch.
Would even lean Jack this time. But if this is mandated and Stevenson has to take it next, it is not a throw away fight at all. It is a decent, intriguing tussel and I would be all in with it!Comment

I would love to see that fight, but it's not happening now... Just read for yourself what the WBC has declared before: http://wbcboxing.com/wbceng/news/999...sion-status223
