    ????? How do you think....???

I think their plan is to try and buy the rights for NBA, NFL and all other sports when they come available to make it a complete sports platform where you can watch everything whenever it is on.

The boxing element is their initial investment into the US market, they want a sport they think that they can dominate pretty quickly and think boxing is it. They've got big money and big ambitions so it'll certainly be interesting.

Hearn needs to get a damn good stable so I would be expecting some major moves over the next month or so, and a lot of Haymon's guys signing to promotional deals and keeping Haymon as the manager.
How in the world do you think some British boxing promoter will use some foreign, sport Netflix to buy rights to the multi-billion dollar NFL? NBA? NHL? and MLB? A billion ain't enough. And, why would we pay for that? We get more than enough on free tv and basic cable. We aren't Germany and Japan. And Eddie isn't some super promotional wizard. He has ANTHONY JOSHUA...that's it. Ok, Kell Brook. But those two only sell at home. We don't care about them here. We won't say "Ooh, AJ is on Dazin, buy that!" And, in the states, boxing fans skew older and aren't cord cutters. We don't turn out in droves to watch PBC fighters for free on free tv., do you think we will pay a monthly subscription? And how in the world do you think Eddie will just poach these fighters? PBC, Top Rank, Golden Boy, HBO, Showtime and ESPN won't just roll over. And, it's not like DAZN will replace ppv. Ppv already died for U.S. boxing decades ago. If you aren't Floyd, forget it. It died because there is not much in boxing we want to pay for. Eddie can't change that. MMA(UFC) is the front runner in combat sports in the States. They can deliver top guy vs top guy every month. Boxing can't. They are spread too thin and won't always fight each other. And they "marinate" fights! Whatever. I love boxing. I wish it would get it's **** together. But, Dazzin isn't the answer. It will fail. It sounds awesome to delusional, British, Hearn fans. Reality in the states is different.

It's not a "mentality" it's a reality. You are wrong. Ignoring and not facing reality is why YOU not "we" always shortchange yourselves. There's more than 3 types but ok, let's roll with the 3.

      1) People that make things happen know to NOT invest in a paid, streaming boxing network in the U.S. that we have to pay for, with NO proper stable, NO major fights lined up, and NO ACTUAL major sports programming.

      2) People that watch things happen watch everything except boxing, On a streaming boxing network, in the U.S. that we have to pay for, with NO proper stable, NO major fights lined up, and NO ACTUAL major sports programming.

      3) People that ask "What the **** just just happened?" don't even know that you and I are having this discussion. They only watched Canelo vs GGG and Conor vs Floyd. They never heard of Boxing Scene or Bad Left Hook. They don't know who Eddie Hearn or Dazzin is. When they find out, which is probably never, they won't pay a dime for a streaming boxing network, in the U.S. that we have to pay for with NO proper stable, NO major fights lined up, and NO ACTUAL major sports programming.

Ohh really? When was the last time UFC sold more than 1 million PPV?
Boxing did it 3 times last year.

Boxing had a better year than UFC last year and will so this year.

You haven't seen what these guys have done already I assume. Go look up some info on them. They are players.

Thats not to say they can't fail by any means, but this is bigger than boxing if you are up on this company & boxing failing would have lil to do with this company failing.

It can't do worse than PBC surely.

Thats an antiquated way of looking at it. Streaming is the future. Fox & CBS as we know them are already dead. They will be converting to streaming platforms or dying.

Yep. This is gonna be interesting for sure. I still think there are comparisons to be made to PBC, but yea its not a apples for apples comparison for how they are going about trying to get a bigger marketshare.

And for those unaware of what DAZN has done/is doing check out there wiki. They are merking sh^t already with sports. This boxing play is likely a small one in their overall investment in sports, but not an unimportant one to show the impact they can have.

If this dazn is available on the fire stick in the uk too they will more than make their money back

I’ve been a boxnatin subscriber for years but it’s gone stale (as much as I like buncey)

If you had a app that you could stream football and the boxing your on to a winner . In the uk anyway .

Boxing in America is on the slide and that’s gonna be hearns main problem

                    Why?

Why? Easy. The U.S. is not gonna spend money on a niche sport that we barely watch for free. This deal won't eliminate the WBC, IBF, WBO, WBA, RING, HBO, ESPN, SHO, PBC, TMT, Duva, Dibella, GB, TR, and everyone else that over complicates boxing. Hearn doesn't have, 1- a stable, 2- prospects, 3- major fights lined up, 4 - a catalog, 5- advertisers. His deal is for 16 fights a year for 8 years. Paying for items 1 thru 4 can eat up a billion real fast. Boxing is SUPER political and corrupt. Eddie can't just poach any fighter he wants. There are a TON of palms to grease. They would have to give the fighters more than what they can get to move them from their house. Then they would have to pay the house. AND YOU STILL HAVE TO MAKE THE BEST FIGHTS EVERY MONTH!!!! If Thurman won't fight Spence and AJ/Wilder is a year or two from now, yeah failure is imminent

If he can create super stars then it may end up similar to the UFC.

Hearn utilises social media so I feel this will help boxing. Streaming apps also are the future for me.

Hearn is right that PBC had to buy airtime... which is a loss. $20 dollars is a lot for a monthly subscription so he better make sure the 32 shows are packed with good boxers.

I am in the UK so I am lucky to have Sky streaming app which is about 9 dollars a month.

However I would pay 20 dollars a month for good boxing shows.
