I think the only thing that’ll work in the American market is a league on network television/basic cable, anything else doesn’t have the potential to grow the sport and bring attention to fighters, u need little kids to watch the sport and to grow with it

People are gushing about Loma numbers, when it’s ESPN!!! He should be getting more than that

you have to get the kids involved

Eddie Hearn is really going after all of Al Haymon's fighters.

Earn with Hearn, i bet he wouldn't put the Wilder vs Joshua fight on that platform though!

Hearns is the second coming of Arum. Always talking about some else's business. He has a billion dollar deal why are u comparing to PBS.. The probem is Hearns needs the PBS stable of fighters to make a profit. Those are the only fighters that have no promoters. Hearns figuring of he offers those guys a bundle of cash they will fight on his cards. SPENCE,THURMAN,PORTER, BOTH GARCIA, and Wilder.

I am guessing he was probably asked as it's the nearest comparable thing that has happened in boxing. A boat load of money being pumped in and big things expected.

He will definitely be trying to sign Haymon's fighters to promotional deals though, for sure. He'd be ****** not to, and realistically, I think they need a lot of promotion. Hearn is a bit of a twat but he is a pretty good promoter.

I'm rooting for Hearn and DAZN. The more money being spent by networks & platforms to buy fights, the better. But it's way too soon to have any idea whether this thing will work or not.
Yeah it will be interesting to see how it turns out. I think these DAZN people are for real, doing bit things in Japan and Germany where they are buying rights for ALL sports, not just boxing.

I think their plan is to try and buy the rights for NBA, NFL and all other sports when they come available to make it a complete sports platform where you can watch everything whenever it is on.

The boxing element is their initial investment into the US market, they want a sport they think that they can dominate pretty quickly and think boxing is it. They've got big money and big ambitions so it'll certainly be interesting.

Hearn needs to get a damn good stable so I would be expecting some major moves over the next month or so, and a lot of Haymon's guys signing to promotional deals and keeping Haymon as the manager.

Espn streaming and amazon prime are going to be the major players in boxing streaming 5 years from.

I agree, that's why I loved the PBC. Little kids need to be able to scroll through channels and see quality boxing on FOX or CBS. That's how you get lifelong fans.

It was hard getting into boxing when I was younger because I couldn't just pay for HBO or Showtime myself. I definitely couldn't buy a ppv.

This could just as easily cause SHO to increase their budget to keep Haymon's stable.

This could just as easily cause UFC to increase their budget to get Haymon's stable.

Haymon still has all the power here. He has the US talent. Whether it's Showtime, FOX, UFC, DAZN or whoever else, only Haymon has an army of American world champions who aren't locked up by anybody.

And it's hard to overbid for one specific fighter because Haymon has a war chest that allows him to match any offer.
